I met your momma an hour ago
And then I told her just where to go
Down on the pavement to lick my balls
Heed it and show no discretion at all
She said
Please go steady with it
Go steady with it
Go steady with it
All my mind all my mind
Go steady with it
I met your father an hour ago
I punched his lights out and stole his dough
I bought some heroin and brought it to your school
I don't know why I'm so unbelievably cool
C-O-O-L
You brought heroin to my school
Hands on black boys please don't shoot
I get the money yeah I get the loot
I get the money yeah I get the pu-nani
And I get the gold Grammy I got the food
That's why I feel so great I'm so unbelievably cool
Please go steady with it
(Sunshine you need to need to know)
Go steady with it
(What you do what you do without me)
Go steady with it
All my mind all my mind
Go steady with it
I left your momma two weeks ago (what!)
She cheated on me with my friend Joe
Now I'm so lonely with just my phone
Still got those screenshots and pots of gold
She said please go steady with it
Sometimes go steady with it
Go steady with it
Go steady with it
All my mind all my mind
Go steady with it
La la la la la la la la la la
Go steady with it
La la la la la la la la la la
Go steady with it
La la la la la la la la la la
Go steady with it
La la la la la la la la la la
Go steady with it
La la la la la la la la la la
Go steady with it
La la la la la la la la la la
Go steady with it
La la la la la la la la la la
Oh please
Go steady with it
The lyrics to Rejjie Snow's song Charlie Brown tell a story of a reckless and self-proclaimed cool character who seems to thrive on doing things that are dangerous and rebellious. In the first verse, the singer claims to have met the addressee's mother and directed her to perform a degrading sexual act on him, all while urging her to show "no discretion at all." The lyrics here reveal the character's skewed sense of power and control over others. In the chorus, he tells the addressee to "go steady with it," which seems to imply that the addressee is just as interested in these kinds of reckless behaviors as he is.
In the second verse, the singer admits to punching the addressee's father and stealing his money to buy heroin. He then brings the drugs to the addressee's school, further highlighting his disregard for the well-being and safety of others. Again, the character asserts his "unbelievable cool" and brags about his abilities to get money and attention from others. The addressee responds with a sarcastic acknowledgment of the singer's actions, pointing out the dangers to black boys in particular.
In the final verse, the singer discloses his recent breakup with the addressee's mother, citing her infidelity with his friend Joe. The character's loneliness is palpable, as he clings to his "screenshots and pots of gold" as evidence of his worth. The chorus is repeated, with the character urging the addressee to "go steady with it" as though acknowledging that their recklessness is all they have left.

At first when i heard this song a while ago i thought its rather basic sounding but now after seeing the video and actually listening to the lyrics i think he made it "basic" sounding on purpose.
Charlie is the slang for cocaine and Brown is a slang for heroin.
after the weird pink goo and psychedelic scenes and the 2 lines about bringing heroin to school i think this all song is about his (?) or anyones addiction with drugs.
he made it poppy sounding and all the "lala" cheers on purpose for it to be sarcasticly happy altho the topic at hand is depressing as fuck. his lyrical ablities are by far more capable.
A song is just a part of many thoughts an artist as. maybe he wanted a song about heroin addiction and he wanted the sound of the song to contradict what youd expect.
anywho 7.5/10

Republic of Loose were ahead of their time, they played in a cd shop I worked in back in 2004, and it is still one of my favourite performances I've ever seen
