Remi Rhymez Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I was born in New Jersey February 16th
In 2000 and now I'm 17 years young
Living in a small town skin tanning from the sun
This city's limited
Entertainment's lukewarm
I'm a young entertainer introducing
New noise
Local artists being stagnant people getting too bored
People getting jaded
It's all wash rinse repeat
Like a dinner waitress
I give the people food for thought
They never really ate it
I hear these artist say they be staying hungry but everyday they bringing nothing in the dinner table
Hearing verses from a group saying they gon he famous
But their linguistics doresn't match up with their presentation
How you gon make it if you don't got any substance
And you aint got any grind or nothing
That's what makes a dime a dozen
I know someday I will be great
Im making my own sound I don't care if people hate
I gotta be the artist that'll step up to the plate
That's grabbing on the balls of the Arizona state
I'm tryna make it independent
Because my comerades weren't really tryna benefit me
But luckily Theres mike Cruz with me
And not to mention Ry Sherm
In my sophomore year he went to school with me
Also my cousin James jobs
He's living up in Washington he moved from his spot
And every single summer I'm in jersey and my father is my manager
Gets me performing and I get the crowd standing up
I'd rather stay in Arizona in my teen years
It's dangerous up in NJ
Danger too near
Wanna be first to make it out like an elder sibling
I was the youngest in my fam out of 7 children
Was growing up with a creative mind
Made paper gokus when we ain't had toys to buy
Up in daycare I was my myself with no friends
They didn't wanna play with me I didn't even flinch
So there's some little facts about me
I wrote an essay but I made a little rap about it
This is my life as Bukhari King
A local artist giving YUMA 'nother star to see
A weed smoking danger junkie dude is far from me
I'm just an A and B student
I n production and performance
And an entrepreneur
Running out of spaces in the page
I put the pen down and come back another day page 1
In these lyrics of "Page 1," Remi Rhymez talks about his life as Bukhari Ansar King, his birth name. He was born in New Jersey on February 16th in 2000 and is currently 17 years old, living in a small town where the entertainment seems lukewarm, and the only growth is observed in the availability of vegetables in food stores. Not to succumb to the unsatisfying situations around him, he has taken it upon himself to be a young entertainer introducing new noise and breaking the unproductive monotony around him.
As a budding artist, he has noticed how other artists limit themselves by lacking substance, grind, or anything to bring to the dinner table. He vows to take a different path, making his own unique sound and stepping up to the plate as an artist. While growing up, Remi Rhymez was often by himself, and even though daycare staff and his peers refused to play with him, he did not get discouraged. Therefore, he decided to develop his creative mind, making paper Gokus when he didn't have toys to buy.
