which began a love affair with the music of Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald,
Anita O’Day and the Great American Songbook.
Then Renee was able to perform with Eddie Reed’s Swing Band playing LA area clubs.
In September 2002, she released "By Request" to commemorate her club performances.
"At Last" being one of the tracks.
Renee gained the attention of Grammy Award winning producer David Foster
and subsequently signed a contract with the Warner Records label.
In 2003, 13 year old Renee performed at the Playboy Jazz Festival singing
"At Last" to an amazed jazz audience, who gave Renee a standing ovation.
Bill Cosby, whose jazz band backed Renee quipped that “she’s only 13
and knows only one song”.
Finally, in May 2004, all elements of Renee’s career came together.
On the "Still Standing" final episode, of the second season, she performed "Summertime",
in a dream sequence, the first track on her self-titled CD "Renee Olstead",
produced by David Foster, released that month.
The release started Renee on a whirlwind promotional tour starting with

Renee continued to perform her music around the world.
She performed in numerous charity events in the US.
Renee again toured Europe, this time with B.B. King, performed in Live 8,
in Berlin, and with Chris Botti and at the "Unite The Stars" charity event,
in South Africa.

by George Lopez, with Renee performing "Midnight Man" with David Foster,
in 2007. The Java Jazz Festival, in 2008, "My Baby Just Cares For Me",
where Renee received the International Jazz Talent Award, and the "Hit Man:
David Foster And Friends" tribute to David Foster with Renee performing Through The Fire, in 2008.
In 2008, she recorded her third movie soundtrack with "Ain’t we Got Fun"
for the movie "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl".
TV came back in the picture, in 2008, as Renee was cast in the series
"The Secret Life Of The American Teenager" as Madison.
In the final episode, of the second season, again her two careers came together,
as Madison sang "Fly Me To The Moon" and

Sunday Kind Of Love
Renee Olstead Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
A love to last, past Saturday night.
I'd like to know that it's more than love at first sight.
I need a Sunday Kind of Love.
Oh yeah yeah
I need a, a love that's on the square.
Can't seem to find that somebody, someone to care.
I'm on a lonely road that leads me nowhere.
I need a Sunday kind of love.
I do my Sunday dreaming, oh yeah all my Sunday scheming.
Every minute, every hour, every day
Oh I'm hoping to discover that certain kind of lover
Who will show me the way.
My arms need someone to enfold
Keeping me warm when Monday's and Tuesday's grow cold.
Love for all my life to have and to hold.
Oh I want a Sunday kind of love.
The song "Sunday Kind of Love", originally written by Barbara Belle, Anita Leonard, Stan Rhodes and Louis Prima, has been performed by numerous artists over the years. In this particular version, featuring Renee Olstead and Chris Botti, the lyrics express the desire for a certain type of love. The singer wants a love that will last more than just one night, and that is more than just a physical attraction. They need a love that is honest and genuine, something authentic to hold onto.
The song speaks to the hopelessness and loneliness that can come from searching for love, and how it can feel like a never-ending journey. The singer dreams and schemes of finding someone who will truly care for them, and who will show them the way to the type of love they crave. They long for someone who will keep them warm when everything else is cold, and who they can love for the rest of their life. Ultimately, the song expresses the importance of finding love that is sincere and true, rather than just settling for something that is temporary.
Overall, "Sunday Kind of Love" is a beautiful and heartfelt song that speaks to the desire for deep and genuine love. Its lyrics are relatable and honest, and its message is universal. This rendition, featuring the stunning vocals of Renee Olstead and the smooth trumpet of Chris Botti, is a wonderful interpretation of the classic song.
