In 1981, Grzegorz Ciechowski, taking over the as the new head, moved the group's sound from prog rock closer to New Wave and rechristened the band Republika. He did not, however, completely abandon the band's roots; rather, he adapted Ian Anderson's "heavy-metal flute" into a "New-Wave flute" which featured prominently in such early tracks as Nowe Sytuacje and Kombinat.
The group disbanded in 2001, following Ciechowski's death (cardiac aneurysm).

Rozgadane wargi wciąż
Gadające głowy
Jadowite zęby lśnią
Jadowita ślina
Klei się do nóg i rąk
Gadające głowy
Gadające głowy
Goni mnie stugłowy smok
Zdążę uciąć jedną
Już wyrasta nowych sto
Gadające ręce
Ciągle pchają w gardło mi
Rozgadanych ga
Gazet plik
Fanatyczne mowy
Opętany kociokwik
Opętane łowy
Czarownice idą w dym
Operacja mowy
Usuwanie wrogich słów
Gadające gło
Głowy znów
The Polish song "Gadające głowy" by Republika is a commentary on the influence of words in society. The title "Gadające głowy" translates to "Talking Heads," and it symbolizes people who endlessly speak without taking any action. The first two lines of the song, "Rozgadane wargi wciąż, Gadające głowy," translate to "Talkative lips still, Talking heads." The song describes these talkative heads as possessing venomous teeth, with toxic saliva that sticks to hands and feet.
The chorus is a repetition of "Gadające głowy," indicating that words continue to have a dangerous sway over people, despite their limited impact, and how they remain unstoppable. Republika highlights the smog that chases them and the futility of cutting off one talking head as another quickly takes its place. The lines "Rozgadanych ga, gazet plik" can be interpreted to mean that these talking heads fill newspapers with meaningless talk, creating a surplus of unnecessary information.
The song portrays the grips of these talking heads' fanatic speeches and how they can become obsessive and controlling. The lines "Fanatyczne mowy opętany kociokwik" mean "Fanatical speeches, possessed meowing," signifying the loss of rational thoughts and behaviors in the grip of the talking heads. The final line, "Gadające głowy znów," translates to "Talking heads again," ending the song with an emphasis on the cyclical and unending nature of the influence of words on society.

. To były czasy komuny i cenzury ,ale artyści wykazywali swą niezwykłą twórczość. Uważam ,że to były najlepsze czasy muzyki w naszym kraju. Znaczące teksty i dobra muza.
