Reset was formed in 1995 in Montreal, Quebec. Originally the band members were Pierre Bouvier, Philippe Jolicoeur, Charles-André "Chuck" Comeau and Jean-Sébastien Boileau. Reset recorded a demo tape : Concerned, in 1995.
Then came the first full length album: No Worries in 1997 recorded at Le Studio Morin-Heights. The band shot a video clip for the single “Why”. In 1999 Reset had a different line up. Pierre was now singing and playing bass, and a new member, Adrian White from Vancouver, joined to play drums with the punk rock band based out of Montreal. In 2000 they released No Limits. This album was recorded in Vancouver BC and was produced by Greg Reely.
Three video clips were filmed for No Limits: Pollution, Pressure, My Dream and I. David Desrosiers replaced Pierre Bouvier in 2001 but only to stay with the band for 6 months, leaving to join Simple Plan, already consisting of two previous band members, Pierre Bouvier and Chuck Comeau.
In 2004, Reset came back with a third album : Radioactive. The album was produced, performed, mixed and mastered by Philippe Jolicoeur. The next year in 2005 RESET has a new line-up with Phil (guitars & vocals) Martin Gendreau (drums) and Claude Plamondon (bass & vocals).

Corrupted To The Bone
Reset Lyrics

Every time you're in disbelief
I don't think that you can understand
I won't pretend, I won't apologize
And I'll make you realize
Uncle Sam's atrocious master plan
It's plain fucking insane
Welcome to a brand new world
The statue we call liberty
Is the statue of the hypocrisy
I'm so sick of this shit
Maybe it will never end
In the land of opportunity
So cry for democracy
Every time that you can't breathe
Every line you cannot read
I don't think that you dare to understand
My name is my band and it makes me sick
Fuck all your rhetoric
The angels will claim your corrupted soul
Corrupted to the bone
Welcome to our world
Welcome to a better world
The statue of our liberty
Is the symbol of the hypocrisy
I'm so sick of this shit
Maybe it will never end
In the land of opportunity
So cry for democracy
Welcome to this world
Welcome to a brand new world
The statue we call liberty
Is the statue of the hypocrisy
I'm so sick of this shit
Tell me will it ever end?
In the land of opportunity
So scream for democracy
In Reset's song "Corrupted To The Bone", the lyrics express a deep frustration with the American government and their actions. The first verse speaks to the inability to sleep and disbelief in what is happening. The singer acknowledges that the listener may not understand, but they will not pretend or apologize. The chorus welcomes the listener to the world they live in, the land of opportunity where democracy should reign. However, the statue of liberty, which is often seen as a symbol of democracy, is referred to as the statue of hypocrisy. The singer is sick of it all and calls for the listener to cry or scream for democracy.
The second verse details further frustration, this time with reading and rhetoric. The singer's name is their band and they are sick of it all, again referencing the claim that the listener's soul is corrupted. The second chorus welcomes the listener to a better world, but reiterates that the statue of liberty is a symbol of hypocrisy. The singer questions if it will ever end and calls for the listener to scream for democracy.
Overall, the lyrics express disillusionment and a lack of faith in the American government and democracy. The repeated references to the statue of liberty as a symbol of hypocrisy highlight the singer's belief that the government is not living up to the ideals that the statue represents.
