Their debut EP entitled "Wanderer" was released on May 17th, 2011 and is currently available for free download here - http://restore.bandcamp.com/

On April 26th, 2012, the band released a 2 song demo entitled "The Loss In Living" featuring 2 brand new songs which can be downloaded for free.

I would have to say the brain can repair itself, although some parts repair faster than others. Our son was in a car wreck over 17 years ago, when he was 18, and had the temporal and frontal lobes damaged. He had started college at sixteen years old. He had to learn to walk, talk and feed himself again. He has also overcome major memory issues. The last CT scan they ran on him showed new blood vessels had formed to bypass the damaged part of his brain. He was able to go back and finish college, and even completed grad school. He is our walking miracle.

If only humanity invested more funds and energy into researching such essential discoveries, instead of wars and lies, we could be living much happier lives.
My dad suffered from a very strong stroke and has recovered to some degree via lots of therapy, but he is still crippled. Imagine if we had a solution to his condition and to millions of others with similar conditions, how much happier this world could be!

My answer to this question is: YES!

9 years ago I had an accident in which I fell on my head and fell into a coma of 2 months. After waking up out of coma, I heard the doctors telling my dad I'd never be able to talk nor to walk and exactly that drove me to work on myself to be able to do this things. I tried every day to walk even though the nurses told me not to, or I'd hurt myself. After 2 weeks I could walk again and after 3 weeks my first words were "Happy birthday mom". So never lose the beliefs and never lose the will to work on yourself, even if it my take decades.
My point is; IF the brain believes in itself, it can achieve wonders, as long as it never loses the believes in itself!!

My brain is completely recovered. Just before Covid lockdown, I suffered an unexpected blackout because I had hit my head. My brain was bleeding. While unconscious, I crashed into another car. I woke up in the hospital after a Crainiotomy.

I would say it depends on how badly the brain gets damaged and which parts of the brain gets damaged. For instance, if the parts of the brain where motory skills of limbs such as arms and legs get damaged, one mght be able to get some of it back through physical therapy, if parts of the brain where speech gets damaged, one might be able to get some of it back through speech therapy, if everyday activities are difficult, due to brain damage, then occupational therapy may be required to make things easier... etc...

I was in a coma for on year as a result of a head injury sustained during a motorcycle accident. I have now lived longer with the damage than without it. So I’m not really sure if it repaired itself or I became used to having to think slowly

Odd situation, making the brain understand itself. This is an exciting prospect. I saw a TV documentary (UK) where a man crippled with Parkinson's was administered with dopamine directly through implants into the brain. Unable to walk prior to the operation he was strolling around like a normal person, the op completely successful. But he died two weeks later from the stress of it all. Maybe someday they'll invent a pill we can take containing the necessary neurons... or something.

I remember that when I was on 1st grade, my head was impaired by a falling soccer ball post, and therefore I experienced brain damage, my parents didn't know such thing, yet after 6 years have escalated, I've recovered from it, thanks god.

And my parents, teachers, say that the brain doesn’t recover dead brain cells. It’s old research, and they won’t believe me that the human body could regenerate brain cells. Old study... If I can only say that “why don’t you try searching about it today then?” They don’t even put into consideration that more and more research is done today on things that we didn’t know from THE PAST.

Mine did after a stroke within 24 hours of birth. I absorbed a quarter of the damage. So instead of the entire hemisphere being affected as it was in the first scan only 3/4 were damaged long term.

Fine years ago I was just crossing the street from my job when I got hit by a distracted driver and then by the grace of God I was rushed to the ICU and I was in a coma for three weeks and even though I was just given a five percent chance of surviving I am alive and well and thankfully enjoying my life again. After my accident I would wake up and not even be able to remember what I had done the day before. I would have to sleep sixteen hours a day and I was just exhausted from my accident. Well I’m glad that I was able to get back to my normal life again with some mobility issues but I’m just amazed at how the brain is able to repair itself 🙏

Yes it can, i had panic when i had back on the head a brain tumour, and i saw how my body, nerves, muscles repair it self, i felt my muscles moving to send signals to my brain.

2 months ago my dad got a haemorrhagaic stroke. He couldn't eat food through mouth and couldn't control his pee but now he's eating and peeing normal but his right side is paralyzed. I hope he gets fully recovered. But he's changed now. His behaviour got worse. He's more annoyed don't laugh like b4. I'm so much afraid if it's a bad sign or not

It makes one wonder that if our brain can heal itself, then why do doctors pull us in for money and getting treated for something that can be treated itself. I understand that some of the injuries and impacts on the brain are irreversible, that is something we haven't mastered yet. Its foreign to think that there is so much more to the brain that what we already know.The idea of transplanting donor cells shows how technology is growing. I can't help but wonder that if we treat these neurological problems, that some jobs in the health care field will diminish. Also, life span would increase. A whole array of problems could be produced. Furthermore, for the individuals that suffer from brain injury, this benefits them into a brighter future.

i hit my head two days ago when i try to stretch my head it swelled a little and i feel a little pain but after i touch the swelled points and they got bigger and it turns out to a pain and full stress to me i was so scared if my brain cells was damaged after research of 1.5 days i learned that in my situation people has 0.03% chance to get minor(small) brain injury but after all im still so stressful and scare if anything happen to my cells :( i hope nothing bad happened to my brain:( i know that feeling and i feel so sorry for the people who got hit to their head and suffer from brain injury:( i hope this treat will be developed and will help to unlucky people

The reason why such mechanisms don't emerge through evolution is because evolution doesn't trend towards perfection.

I don't think that argument holds any water. We have developed plenty of minor features that only benefit us only slightly.
Obviously we're not perfect, but we tend to have all of the benefical features that are reasonable to have.

RealationGames We also have the genetic equipment to regrow limbs like salamanders but we lost this functionality in favor of scar tissue. And I think it's the same in the brain... For us personally it would mean a lot but evolutionary it's not that helpful to put in the extra cost of maintaining these functionalitys in the whole population just for a small percentage ( of the population ) that would benefit from them...
So I don't think it's that strange that we have the cellular machinery but don't use it normally...

Oh my Gosh guys. If I only listened to my Doctors and their bankrolls, I would be a shadow of myself.
It's nice to have incontrovertible evidence to guide treatment of brain injury but how much time and life is wasted balking at pretty easily discernible principles while dealing with patients over a term.

I loved this video, the brain is a very complex, mysterious and even magical organ. Science has not yet figured it out admitedly.

The brain can repair or heal, restructure and reorganize itself and leave the doctors in awe, they do not understand what happened to the patient, how the sudden healing.

These are called medical miracles, when science has no explanation. The brain can be magical sometimes. ;)
