I need you
Is the feeling I get when I open up my heart
I open it up for her
To get the weekend feel
I'm making this work without temptation from the other side
from the other side
Don't wanna be a dead man
living in a dead town
surrounded by the dead people
Don't wanna be a dead man
living in a dead town
surrounded by the dead people
Shout it out
I'm alive
Shout it out
We're alive
Yeah
I need you
is the feeling she said when she whispered in my ear
I'll take you home tonight
To get the weekend feel
I'm making this work without temptation from the other side
from the other side
Don't wanna be a dead man
living in a dead town
surrounded by the dead people
Don't wanna be a dead man
living in a dead town
surrounded by the dead people
Shout it out
I'm alive
Shout it out
We're alive
Shout it out
Shout it out
Shout it out
Well just Shout it out
Shout it out
I'm alive
I saw the love inside your heart
I feel it, I know what you want
I saw the pain inside your mind
I feel it
I want it
I know it
The song "Deadman" by Revenue is a powerful statement against the loss of passion and hope in life. The lyrics talk about the singer's desire to escape a dead town where he is surrounded by dead people. The opening lines talk about the singer's love for someone, and how he opens up his heart for her. The lyrics suggest the hope that this love will help get him through the "weekend feel" and the monotony of life. However, the singer confronts the reality that his love alone can't save him from loneliness and the deadness around him.
The chorus repeats the statement "Don't wanna be a dead man living in a dead town surrounded by dead people." This is a powerful statement of defiance against the bleakness of life. The singer wants to shout out and claim that he is alive, and that he refuses to be a victim of despair. The lyrics suggest that there is a fight to be fought against hopelessness, and that shouting out in defiance is an important part of that fight. The second verse talks about the woman the singer loves, and how being with her gives him hope. The lyrics suggest that she understands his pain and wants to help him through it.
In conclusion, the song "Deadman" is a strong statement against the deadness of life. The lyrics suggest that there is hope in love, and that shouting out in defiance can help people keep their passion and hope alive.
