The band was founded in Hamburg as Manga in 2003, later changed it to Tsunamikiller and adopted their current name by the end of 2004.
In 2006, they participated in „Bundesvision Song Contest“ (a parody of the „Eurovision Song Contest“) and got Bremen the second place of all 16 Bundesländer (States).
The song Generation Rock was included as a bonus track in the game Guitar Hero 3.

2022… und bei den Jungs denke ich immer an eine Unterhaltung, welche ich mit einer Oma von den Jungs hatte. Ganz stolz fragte sie mich „ kennen sie Revolverheld?“ kurz überlegte ich, da dies Gespräch am Telefon ein ganz anderes Thema eigentlich hatte und sagte dann ja und sie „ Mein Enkel ist in der Band“ ich fühlte regelrecht ihre Augen durch das Telefon strahlen.
