The Lord's Prayer
Rhema Marvanne Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Our Father, Which Art in Heaven
Hallowed be, Thy Name
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be Done
On Earth, as it is, in Heaven

Give us this day, our daily bread
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil

For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory forever
For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory forever

Amen

Overall Meaning

Rhema Marvanne's song The Lord's Prayer is a beautiful interpretation of the infamous prayer that many Christians learn at a young age. The prayer starts with acknowledging God as our Father, who is in heaven and whose name is holy. The lyrics also suggest that we hope for God's kingdom to come to the earth so that His will can be done here, just as it is in heaven. This part of the prayer suggests that we need to submit to God's will and not our own because it is ultimately what is best for us.

The second half of the prayer involves asking God for our daily needs, like bread, and also for His forgiveness. Rhema Marvanne's interpretation suggests that if we want to receive forgiveness for our wrongdoings, we should be willing to forgive others who have wronged us. Finally, the prayer speaks of the power and glory belonging to God forever and ever, acknowledging His authority over all.

Overall, Rhema Marvanne's interpretation of the Lord's Prayer is a reminder for believers to submit to God's will, seek forgiveness for their sins, and acknowledge His power and authority over all.

That last high note she sings, and holds, brings tears to my eyes that I can't explain. She transmits such emotion - it's a phenomenon.

Rhema, this is one of the most beautifully done renditions of The Lords Prayer I have ever heard. God Bless you and your Daddy. Your Mommy is truly watching over you right there next to Jesus.

The first time my hears came to this place Rhema, all my tears I held back for so long began to flow... The miracle of love in each of us tells us that His great glory lives all around us each day. The pause you took to let us enjoy such a beautiful rendition of this prayer reminds us that His love is forever... Your beginning may be my end one day and then His glory I hope to share. When that happens I will lovingly shine down upon you with His love that all of us will share one day....
