Her musical career started in her family's band the Sally Mountain Show when she was barely five years old. She started learning mandolin at age eight, which was also when she released her first single. She achieved success in the bluegrass genre in the 1970's and 80's, earning the respect of her mostly male peers for her mastery of the progressive chord structures and multi-range, fast paced vocals intrinsic to bluegrass music.
In the 1990's she branched out into mainstream country music but did not enjoy the success anticipated there. With the release of her album "Back Home Again" in 2000, she returned to bluegrass with the goal of expanding both the musical reach and the accessibility of the genre. Since then she has seen her popularity and acceptance rise and has received acclaim from several music-industry groups. The International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) accorded her its Female Vocalist of the Year award for the years 2000 - 2005, plus IBMA Entertainer of the Year in 2001. And the Society for Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America (SPBGMA) designated her its Entertainer of the Year for 2002 - 2005 inclusive.
Somebody
Rhonda Vincent Lyrics

'Cause what you give you never get back
You think hearts were made to be broken
But you don't need to be thinkin' like that
Can't you see somebody's just dying to love you
To hold you and show you she cares?
Can't you see that maybe she's trying to tell you
See that light at the end of the tunnel
It ain't hard to get there from here
Just put one foot in front of the other
Take it from me there's nothing to fear
Can't you see somebody's just dying to love you
To hold you and show you she cares?
Can't you see that maybe she's trying to tell you
Somebody will always be there?
Are you gettin' the picture?
Am I startin' to get through to you?
Somebody's waitin' to promise their heart
And I think you know who
Can't you see somebody's just dying to love you
To hold you and show you she cares?
Can't you see that maybe she's trying to tell you
Somebody will always be there?
Can't you see somebody's just dying to love you
To hold you and show you she cares?
Can't you see that maybe she's trying to tell you
Somebody will always be there?
The lyrics for "Somebody" by Rhonda Vincent is a testament of hope and assurance to someone who has been burned by love in the past. The song begins by addressing someone who thinks love is nothing but trouble and that hearts are made to be broken. However, the song urges this person not to think like that because there is someone out there who is dying to love and care for them. The chorus repeats the message that someone is waiting to show their love and promise their heart.
The second verse of the song speaks of a light at the end of the tunnel, which means that it is not hard to find love again. The song encourages the listener to take a step forward and not be afraid of being hurt once again. Love has its potential risks, but there is always going to be someone there for support - someone who genuinely cares about you. The chorus repeats, emphasizing the message that love is waiting around the corner and that it is up to the listener to accept it.
Overall, "Somebody" is an uplifting song that reminds its listeners not to give up on love. There is always someone out there to love, care for, and support you, and it is essential to keep an open mind and heart to finding it.
