“Your Secret Love” is a Richard Elliot song about the struggle of being in a secret relationship. The song describes a love affair that's hidden from the outside world where the singer (Elliot) is the one who is waiting for his secret loved one to reveal the truth about their relationship. The singer refers to a kiss in the dark, a letter of love, and time to call his loved one, but he remains anonymous because his partner refuses to tell anyone about them. The singer is happy to be with his partner, but he feels left out because they have to keep it a secret from everyone else. They also cannot build a future together, and this causes the singer to realize that the relationship will never work.
In the second verse, the singer confronts his partner, asking her why they kept their relationship a secret from the beginning. He expresses his dissatisfaction, highlighting the fact that being in a secret relationship is a waste of love, and he should have known that she wanted him to be her true love. I bought this CD at a used music store...and it was one of many GEMS that I've found over the years for a few dollars each. Although I love ALL of the songs, This is my favorite song on the CD. If you REALLY want to appreciate this CD more than you already do, if you have a friend with a High end Stereo System ask if you can come over and play this CD on their system. If you don't, find the nearest High End stereo shop in your area and go there and listen....The music is already mind blowingly Great, but those systems will take it to another level.
