Here is the lyrics (if it's not right):

If you need lovin', oh baby I travel

I travel from Maine down to Mexico
To find that girl that loves me so
No matter where I be I find that girl and she satisfy me

Have love, will travel
Have love, will travel
If you need lovin, oh baby I travel
If you need lovin, oh baby I travel

I might take a boat, I might take a plane
I might hitch-hike or jump a railroad-train
Your kind of love drive a man insane
So look for me walkin' just any old way

Have love, will travel
Have love, will travel
If you need lovin, oh baby I travel
If you need lovin, oh baby I travel

I met Richard Berry in 1987 when he was playing in Toronto and I requested this classic, which wasn’t on his regular play list. He seemed genuinely surprised by the request, and politely obliged me. It was a great moment for me.

Britt

That's awesome dude!

John Koehl

Nothing beats the original by the great Richard Berry.

Douglas Iannucci

You said it!

clarkewi

This is the best version of this song BY FAR.

Dana Cavanaugh

I have to disagree. The version by the Sonics is KILLER.

Douglas Iannucci

Absolutely!

Jim Southern

In March of 1960, this song reached #23 on KRLA in Los Angeles, sounds perfect to me. Of course, Richard Berry is a part of Rock 'n' Roll history, since he wrote "Louie, Louie".

Bruce Hurst aka Zincfreud

Love the rock versions but this is class, I take it's the original?

C. F

yes and the best one too
