Some of the Sherman Brothers' best known songs were incorporated into live action and animation musical films including: Mary Poppins, The Happiest Millionaire, The Jungle Book, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Snoopy Come Home, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, The Slipper and the Rose, and Charlotte's Web.
Their most well known work, however, remains "It's a Small World (After All)", composed for the theme park attraction of the same name. According to Time, it may be the most (publicly) performed song in history.
Let's Get Together

Why don't you and I combi-ine
Let's get together, what do you say
We can have a swingin' ti-ime
We'd be a cra-a-azy team
Why don't we ma-a-ake a scene
Together, oh oh oh oh
Think of all that we could sha-are
Let's get together everyday
Every way and everywhere
And though we haven't got a lot
We could be sharin' all we've got
Together
Oh, I really think you're swell
Uh-huh, we really ring the bell
Oo-wee, and if you stick with me
Nothing could be greater, say hey alligat-ah!
Let's get together, yeah yeah yeah
Two is twice as nice as one
Let's get together right away
We'll be having twice the fun
And you can always count on me
A gruesome twosome we will be
Let's get together, yeah yeah yeah!
The lyrics to Richard M. Sherman's "Let's Get Together" revolve around two people coming together to have a "swinging" time. The song starts with an invitation to combine forces - "Let's get together, yeah yeah yeah / Why don't you and I combine?" The chorus repeats the same phrase, urging the listener to imagine all the things they could share if they came together: "Let's get together, what do you say / We can have a swinging time / We'd be a crazy team / Why don't we make a scene / Together, oh oh oh oh." The verses describe the potential fun that could be had by these two people as they explore all the different ways they could hang out: "Let's get together everyday / Every way and everywhere." The song ends on a high note of promise, with the singer telling the listener how much they like them ("Oh, I really think you're swell") and how much fun they'll have if they stick together ("Oo-wee, and if you stick with me / Nothing could be greater, say hey alligat-ah!").
