Alright. Say glee or the fox version is better. yeah sure.. they actually had a better singing version of this song. But you see, this original version was about character and that's what important for the movie, in some people's opinion. So to hell with perfection.. i go for the true-ness of the characters :))

Also in this one you can tell that Janet really loves Brad, in the FOX version Justice's Janet was more concerned with the ring the entire time ( rather then just a few small parts like with Saradon)

I prefer the subtext that their relationship is a bit of a facade where Janet is only interested in the idea of marriage. The way she says Brad has met her parents could suggest they're separated and she actually has underlining fears because of it but everyone around them is getting married so she will jump in too. She cares more about the ring. You could say that's why she cheats on Brad later on besides being a virgin touched for the first time lol. I like the hint that Brad is trapped in the closet and is under pressure to go along with what everyone else wants especially Janet. That's why he cheats on her later on. It would be better if he was stumbling over his words to say he loves her. The emphasis is often wrong for that though in the movie version. It gives more reason to why he's saying dammit through out the song. He's partly saying it to himself at times but there would need to be a quick pause and quick self reflection during those lines. Other times he's saying it because he's still having trouble with the words I love you. I just think having that subtext gives more to the song, performance and characters.

It's interesting that the uploader used pink and blue for the subtitles: pink and blue are traditional girl and boy colors, fitting the binary genders, but Rocky Horror is all about going outside those boundaries. Richard O'Brien himself doesn't identify with the gender binary. Maybe the underlying message of this video is....
