Wrap Up A Draw
Richie Spice Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Burning from the root until the stem
Wrap up a draw and come again
Burning from the root until the stem
Burn it in the ends
Burning from the root until the stem
Wrap up a draw and come again
It hurts for the brain
Ease all the pain
Fulfill myself prophecy
Top it with hypocrisy
Give no side effects of pain
No cancer of the brain
Sign it in my name
Cause I will take the blame
Burn it in the ends
Burning from the root until the stem
Wrap up a draw and come again
Burning from the root until the stem
Burn it in the ends
Burning from the root until the stem
Wrap up a draw and come again
Burning from the root until the stem
Why, they say it gets some people high
A culture of cannabis they know I can't deny
It keep me skanking on my feet yes
When I have the sweet reggae beat whoa
Give it to me; you know I can't refuse it
Oh no
Burn it in the ends
Burning from the root until the stem
Wrap up a draw and come again
Burning from the root until the stem
Burn it in the ends
Burning from the root until the stem
Wrap up a draw and come again
Burning from the root until the stem
Doctor recommends some of them patient them fi use it
But that's the only cure for them sickness and them
prove it
Don't know why they keep on telling us lie
The great food I see they try to deny
Oh no, mhmm eeee ee
Cause We Burn it in the ends
Burning from the root until the stem
Wrap up a draw and come again
Burning from the root until the stem
Burn it in the ends
Burning from the root until the stem
Wrap up a draw and come again
Burning from the root until the stem
It hurts for the brain
Ease all the pain
Fulfill myself prophecy
Top it with hypocrisy
Give no side effects of pain
Give No cancer of the brain
Sign it in my name
Cause I will take the blame

The lyrics of Richie Spice's "Wrap Up a Draw" seem to be about the benefits of cannabis and how it can ease pain and fulfill oneself. The song begins with the chorus "Burn it in the ends, Burning from the root until the stem, Wrap up a draw and come again," which could be interpreted as a reference to smoking cannabis from end to end and then wrapping it up to smoke again. The phrase "burning from the root until the stem" could represent the entire plant being used for its medicinal properties.
The next verse suggests that cannabis helps to ease pain and fulfill oneself, possibly fulfilling a prophecy. However, the claim that it has "no side effects of pain" could be a reference to the controversy surrounding the drug's legalization and its potential side effects. The lyrics also mention cancer of the brain, which could be a reference to the ongoing debate regarding whether or not cannabis use increases the risk of developing cancer.
In the final verse, the lyrics suggest that a doctor recommends cannabis to some of their patients, perhaps indicating the acceptance of the drug in the medical community. The phrase "the great food I see they try to deny" could also be a reference to the food industry's denial of the benefits of cannabis.
Overall, the lyrics of "Wrap Up a Draw" seem to promote the use of cannabis as a natural remedy for pain relief and fulfillment. However, the lyrics also acknowledge the controversy surrounding the drug's use and suggest that it is up to the individual to take responsibility for their actions.
