The lyrics from Rick Ross's song "Hard in the Paint" are filled with boasts and references to violence and criminal activity. He begins by declaring how hard he goes, and the amount of money he has accumulated, stating that he has touched "8 fiqures" or a million dollars, and stuffed it into the bank. He orders 20 bottles of Rosay and claims to be a motherf*ckin problem, warning those who hank with the Bloods, Crips, and robbers. He boasts about being able to afford a thousand carats in his chain, and a quarter million for it.
Ross continues to assert his dominance as a gangsta, declaring that he doesn't care about what other people think, as he continues to make money every time someone blanks. He mentions his drug use, casually mentioning that he's "rolling up the purple" and "sipping pink." He talks about using money to control women, stating that champagne drowns them until they have to pee, and they aren't getting a ride unless they keep it wet.
Additionally, Ross references various drug-use situations that he categorizes into different levels. One pill would make someone spend a grand, and two pills would make someone want to dance. He ends the song by repeating the chorus and talking about "popping his trunk" to shoot someone.
