I never ever thought that I would hear this song again. It was one of my faves back when it came out when I was in Grammar School back in England. I believe that his backing band was called the Fleereckers, and I always heard them on Radio Luxembourg 208 on the medium waveband on the Triumph Record Show. My best friend from back in those days loved this too, unfortunately he died a couple of years ago, never having heard this song since back in our school days. R.I.P. John.

Rick Wayne was born Learie Carasco in St. Lucia on January 27, 1938. He emigrated to England in the 1950s and served with the Royal Signals for two years, most of which in Yorkshire. After his return to civilian life in London, he was discovered as a singer in a club and successfully auditioned for the record producer Joe Meek. He released a single under the name Ricky Wayne (a combination of Ricky Nelson and John Wayne)
He also was a famous Bodybuilder.
Natty For Life
What was the name of the book Ric wrote in the 80's,was it titled beef? It was an expose on bodybuilding,I always admired Ric' s contribution to Muscle Builder power magazine, plus his openness on topics

Not a great record. Ricky does his best with it. Sounds like a pinch from Freddy cannon
