On August 6, 2002, the band released their first full-length album entitled Hurry Up and Wait. The first single "I Feel Fine" became a quick success and was also featured in the 2002 movie Orange County. Additionally, the song "Pick Up the Pieces" was featured on the soundtrack for the video game ATV Offroad Fury 2, and in the movie Extreme Ops.
After touring heavily for two years, the band released their second album Stop the World on October 22, 2004. Unfortunately, this would mark the decline of the band. After touring for five years to support their two albums the band began to feel quite "burned out."
In August 2005, the band agreed to break up. Due to the quiet and sudden breakup of the band, most fans were unaware of the split. However the breakup was confirmed both on their official website and MySpace.
Following the break-up, Johnson formed the rock band New Disaster with Keel on drums. New Disaster released their first album mixed by Andy Johns and entitled Last Night Rites in February 2008 and then quickly released their follow up album Automanic in late 2009. Baker is currently working on a project entitled "Vegas Bomb", previously named "Twenty Questions" previously named "Clint's Junior Orchestra". Stroud formed Say Hello to the Angels, and is in the process of recording their debut album.
Baker also had a cameo appearance in the FOX hit TV show House. In addition, Paul Ebersold, the producer for two of the Riddlin' Kids' albums, helped to record the demos tracks for Baker's new project. Some of these songs may be part of the soundtrack for the new movie Weekend Junkies.
Stop the World

Tryin' to make some sense of this
Tryin' to save face with false appearances
I started with next to nothin'
And you're diggin' me a shallow grave
Tryin' to put a face on what's holding me back today
I'm sayin'
Takin' everything I got
Everybody's had enough
So stop the world, cuz I want off
Takin' everything I own
Sinkin' to an all-time low
Ready cuz it's time to go
So stop the world, cuz I want off
I'm cookin' up a resurrection
I'll serve it to you on a silver plate
You don't want a taste of the fantasies that I create
I'm walkin' on broken eggshells
Tryin' to make some sense of this
Tryin' to save face with false appearances
I'm sayin'
Ready for the world to stop
Takin' everything I got
Everybody's had enough
So stop the world, cuz I want off
Takin' everything I own
Sinkin' to an all-time low
Ready cuz it's time to go
So stop the world, and let's go home
I'm cookin' up a resurrection
I'll serve it to you on a silver plate
You don't want a taste of the fantasies that I create
I'm sayin'
Ready for the world to stop
Takin' everything I got
Everybody's had enough
So stop the world, cuz I want off
Takin' everything I own
Sinkin' to an all-time low
Ready cuz it's time to go
So stop the world, cuz I want off
The lyrics to Riddlin' Kids' song "Stop The World" suggest a feeling of being overwhelmed and trapped by circumstances beyond one's control. The opening lines, "I'm walkin' on broken eggshells, tryin' to make some sense of this," convey a sense of unease and fear, as though the singer is treading lightly in an attempt to avoid causing any more damage. This is followed by the line, "Tryin' to save face with false appearances," which suggests a sense of shame or guilt over the situation.
The second verse offers a glimmer of hope or a potential solution, with the line "I'm cookin' up a resurrection, I'll serve it to you on a silver plate." However, the following line "You don't want a taste of the fantasies that I create" suggests that perhaps the solution is not entirely rooted in reality or may not be able to be sustained.
The chorus, which repeats throughout the song, emphasizes the desire to escape, to be done with everything ("Ready cuz it's time to go") and to attain some sort of peace or resolution. The line "Takin' everything I own, sinkin' to an all-time low" suggests a feeling of being drained or depleted, while the line "Everybody's had enough" conveys a sense of collective exhaustion and frustration.
Overall, the lyrics to "Stop The World" express a sense of being overwhelmed and desperate for a way out of difficult circumstances. The singer is struggling to keep up appearances, to find a way to move forward, and ultimately to find some sort of peace or resolution.
