If I Fell
Rildo Hora Lyrics

Would you promise to be true
And help me understand
'Cause I've been in love before
And I found that love was more
Than just holding hands
If I give my heart to you
From the very start
That you would love me more than her
If I trust in you, oh please
Don't run and hide
If I love you too, oh please
Don't hurt my pride like her
'Cause I couldn't stand the pain
And I would be sad if our new love was in vain
So I hope you see that I
Would love to love you
And that she will cry
When she learns we are two
Cause I couldn't stand the pain
And I would be sad if our new love was in vain
So I hope you see that I
Would love to love you
And that she will cry when she learns we are two.
If I fell in love with you
The lyrics of Rildo Hora's song "If I Fell" are about a person who's contemplating entering into a new romantic relationship after having been in love before. The singer is asking the object of their affection whether they would promise to be true and help them understand the intricacies of love, as they've had experiences in the past where they found that love was more than just holding hands. The singer goes on to say that if they give their heart to the other person, they need to be sure that she would love them more than someone else they once loved. The lyrics also imply that the singer has been hurt in the past, and they don't want to experience the same pain again.
The singer asks the person they're addressing not to run and hide from them if they trust in them, and not to hurt their pride like someone else did before. The singer says that they couldn't stand the pain, and they would be sad if their new love ended up in vain as well. The lyrics end with the singer expressing their desire to love the other person and hoping that the person they're leaving behind would cry when they learned about the new relationship.
Overall, the song's lyrics are about a person's attempts to move on from a past relationship while still carrying the scars of the pain they experienced. It's a song about the cautious optimism and hope that comes with opening one's heart to love again.
