Lust
Rinder & Lewis Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Counting down the hours, 'til you get off work
Baby bring me flowers, and take off that shirt
I been waiting all day
Anticipation killing me
Now that I've got you home
I can't wait to be alone
Kiss me
Touch me
Push me down
Trapped you with my electric sounds
No one else can do it like me
It may be
La la la la la la la
Love
It may be
La la la la la la
Lust
But baby I know
The further we go
I, I, I, I, I, I, I want your touch
It may be
La la la la la la la
Love
It may be
La la la la la la
Lust
But baby I know
The further we go
I, I, I, I, I, I, I want your touch
Come on over baby
Lets get to work
Don't worry baby
You know I put you first
I been waiting all day
Anticipation killing me
Now that I've got you home
I can't wait to be alone
Kiss me
Touch me
Push me down
Trapped you with my electric sounds
No one else can do it like me
It may be
La la la la la la la
Love
It may be
La la la la la la
Lust
But baby I know
The further we go
I, I, I, I, I, I, I want your touch
It may be
La la la la la la la
Love
La la la la la la
Lust
But baby I know
The further we go
I, I, I, I, I, I, I want your touch
It may be
La la la la a la la
Love
It may be
La la la la la la
Lust
But baby I know

The further we go
I, I, I, I, I, I, I want your touch

In 2020, I've heard this track for the first time, and at once purchased a copy at the record shop in Shibuya, Japan.πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅

We partied in the park when the DJ and MC's would be out in Red Hook, Gowanus Wyckoff or Park Slope

That erotic bass line set the tone for decades of What is now labeled β€œDeep House”. Many people are unaware that Rinder & Lewis are the the geniuses under the title of CocoMotion from that same era.

@noice1215

I wouldn’t go that far. They are contributors but house music would not exist without the paradise garage and people like Boyd Jarvis who is undoubtedly THE major influence in the development of so called β€œdeep” house whatever that means. That is the media the white man compartmentalizing music to make excuses not to play certain things that sound β€œtoo black”. Typically white kids that stumble onto so called deep house and decide to become DJs don’t play vocals. Because if you want to get technical with these sub genres deep house IS vocal house and not the other way around. In fact deep house is the more soulful read black side of house music , the roots. Like Blaze and Josh Milan with his Honeycomb imprint and Timmy Regisford Louie Vega Ron Trent Glenn Underground Black Coffee and the plethora of South African artists producers. Bucie Monique Bingham, Boddhi Satva Manoo Jihad Muhammad and on and on
