@@nickosmond It could be that the Limitation is that the Games Code can only handle one type of Aspiration at a Time for a Given Vehicle.

Although we are not on the 360 anymore, the Games Graphics Engine, Forzatech M, is a heavily Upgraded Version of the Old FM4/FH1 Engine and has the same core code, the core code is 360 Era and thus still contains some limitations from that Era.

This ancient Engine was Re-Used because the new F-Tech Engine (FM2023) was nowhere near Ready at the Time and is also Incompatible with the Old Xbox One, which is Barely any more powerful than Xbox 360 (about 20% and that's it for a base Xbox One)which, due to very poor Pick up on Series S and Series X due to the Scalping Situation, Microsoft forced to remain Provided for with FH5.

Since Mike "Not a Car Enthusiast" Brown Stepped down and Torben "an Actual Car Enthusiast" Ellert took over as Chief Director on Forza Horizon (Ralph Fulton now being Chief Director on Fable) PGG has been making a massive effort on Improving the Car Sounds, Yes, the S4 now does sound Twincharged as a Result, but, if the Core Code still only allows one type of Aspiration at Once, it cannot be Simulated Physically, only with Sound.

Hopefully, FH6 will use the New F-Tech Engine, which, being designed with Series S as its Base Platform (and thus is still going to have its Limits as Series S is less Powerful than One X, but is still considerably more Powerful than One and One S) should be far less Limited.

If it can do Twincharging or not Remains unknown as the FIAT Group SPA License has been recovered too Late for Lancia to be in FM 2023 from Day 1, and the S4 is not likely to be added anyway as FM2023 is said not to contain "Rally" Cars either, so we may need to wait for FH6

However, if it Remains with Only an Upgradable Turbo, it will likely mean that F-Tech is possibly also unable to Physically Replicate Twincharging due to the Limitations of Series S, which has been Described as a "badly Bottlenecked, underpowered and outdated albatross around our necks that needs to be Scrapped!" , Potentially holding the Game Code back.

The addition of drivatars in FH3 killed a lot of atmospere in the series. The set racers in FH1/2 with the Ace racer duels at the end of each wristband actually made the story worth paying attention to - same with the radios too, imo FH1 has the best radio because the hosts commentate on the races afterwards with mention of the other racers

Horizon 1 and 2 have molded the future back in that time, with how gloomy and downhill the racing game industry has became.
I really wish they instead rising the stakes of what a racing game should be. Not what they are now.

Racing games do have a licencing problem thanks to car brands and licencing soundtracks, wich is why burnout 3 and others are in limbo btw , it's a miracle we got midnight club LA on the new gen Xboxes cause apparently those licencing deals are pain

I played forza horizon 2 on the Xbox 360 with my Thrustmasters 458 wheel since release till 2019. Finished the story multiple times and also did the money hack. love it till this day. Recently purchased FH5 on PC but stopped playing after a week... maybe because I am a grown up now and can drive a real car or just the game was not what I hoped.

The saddest thing is that FH2 came before Microsoft decided to bring gaming on Windows and Xbox closer, so it never came to PC. Even though Microsoft was testing Xbox games on Windows years ago with the Xbox One version of State of Decay, it never came something out of it, I was hoping to see FH2 being playable that way but never happened.

This hurts to see it get shutdown, horizon 2 was my favorite game upon release. I probably put over 600hrs in it throughout my HS years. It was the last Horizon game I enjoyed playing online and introduced me to drifting online around the airfield. What sucks is that it's the last few days and I can't play online one last time cause I'm in the middle of moving and renovation so my xbox is stored away 😢

Horizon 2 was my first game tok and its pretty sad to see it gone. They had buggy barriers and some uneven surfaces I knew of and pushing drivatars or players into them caused some pretty spectacular crashes lol

My favorite was probably the Gurkha and I'd just send people flying with that

It feels more sim less arcady and thats where other titles fall flat they are so busy stuffing them with stuff that they do not address the most important component of a driving game...THE DRIVING. FH1 in my eyes is the best of the series, 2 a close second. The game had personality. It also had races where you could only use a Volkswagen, hot hatch, muscle car, etc., not just bring what you brought at a certain power level. Also you didn't get the fastest car in the first 30 minutes. And you had to upgrade your car and make money to progress. Made you want to come back and play again. Made the game more challenging and fun. They had a story line and it was a zero to hero progression system. The new games are all about instant gratification and low attention spans, and its not about the quality of the story and progression. Side note, FH1/2 had the best radio stations.

Well my first Forza H was 1 when I was 12 years old. Its graphics, location, radio is incredible, it was almost summer in Argentina. My favorite Forza H will always be 1.

Forza Horizon 2 is what made me want to some time get an Xbox so I can play them. It also helped that Furious 7 had cars in the game to go with the theater release and have cars of Brian’s in memory of Paul🥺

there's an issue when buying gold, Xbox doesn't recognise you bought gold and doesn't let you go online after buying it. it happened to me when I bought gold to play Black Ops 1 online multiplayer. it normally fixes itself within a day

And we’re not on 360 anymore we on the series x so does that make the devs are just lazy if they won’t do it? Because my console has the processing power and storage to handle it especially because the devs already tried to make it sound twincharged but now the think that with the Brands returning they won’t need to get the upgrades right witch says a lot about the devs and the future of this series and brand as a whole. We would hope the developers took months, scanning talking and planning for the return of these car brands so you would expect the developers to know what type of engine these vehicles have and the unique sounds they make. Don’t even get me started on how to Lancia Stratos sounds more like the metro 6r4 than it does the Ferrari Dino, which is a coincidence because it literally has a Ferrari Dino V6 as it’s engine

Never played FH1 online, and had the garbage unplayable 360 version of FH2. That said, I'll always miss the intro to FH1, easily the best intro, like not even close. And with Alice supporting you and backing you up on the final boss race, man that was awesome.
