The budding Emcee First started rhyming for fun back in the mid 90's to entertain his friends while they were out on their skateboards. It wasn't until after he left high school when he really started to focus on hip hop, he realized he had a passion. After his failed attempt at higher learning, he formed a group with his friend he met while at school, called "Upstate Weight" and released their first project in 2005 called the "drunken masters freestyle vol. 1" The Mixtape was passed around among peers and with in weeks U.P.S.W was being asked to perform. The group spit shortly after and Rob I.E. took a break from the music scene. Only to return with a bigger impact.
Playing various venues across N.Y., including, the headline act for his genre at the Utica Music Fest '09. and again in 2011. He was also the featured act at the Shrine in Harlem N.Y. and opened with acts such as Keith Murray in Manhattan. also received recognition from "Alwayz Therro" magazine who featured Rob I.E. in their "Rated Next" column. His first solo mixture "Weight Before the Harvest", which was hosted by its Bizkit, came out in July 2010. The entire tape was recorded on the spot without a single song being written down, and he managed to create and track each song in less than 9 hours. The mixtape consisted of 14 tracks.
Rob I.E. is a artist that strives to push himself. Believes strongly in making original, creative music and continues to do so. So always be on the lookout for something new from this artist and catch a live performance which words can't define.

In Rob's song "Remember When Freestyle," various rappers recount their memories of growing up and the things they used to do. Each rapper's verse is a walk down memory lane, with detailed descriptions of the things they used to wear, eat, and play with. H.A.W.K recalls watching The Flinstones and talking on his cell phone, while Lil Flip remembers his Kangaroos and trying to become a basketball star like Michael Jordan. The song's verses capture a sense of nostalgia and longing for the past, as each rapper recognizes that they can never truly go back to their childhoods. The lyrics also showcase the rappers' success and how far they've come from their roots in the hood.
One interesting fact about the song is that it was released in 2000 as part of Rob's album "The Freestyle King," which was a compilation of freestyle rap tracks. Another fact is that "Remember When Freestyle" features multiple rappers, including Lil Flip, AP, Mista Madd, Redd, and H.A.W.K. The song was produced by Lil Randy and is over six minutes long. The track was not released as a single, but it remains a popular track among fans of Southern rap. The song's lyrics reference popular brands and cultural touchstones of the 80s and 90s, such as Michael Jackson, Big screens, and Glad sacks.
Another interesting fact about the song is that it underscores the importance of rap freestyling in the Texas music scene. Freestyle rap is a key component of Southern rap culture and was popularized by artists like Lil Flip, Slim Thug, and DJ Screw. Rob's inclusion of multiple rappers on the track highlights the collaborative nature of the genre and the importance of community in rap music.
In terms of the song's chord progression, the track features a laid-back beat and sample that loops throughout the six minutes of the song. The chords are not explicitly listed, but the track uses a simple bassline that runs throughout the song, which is typical of Southern rap. The focus of the track is on the lyrics and the rappers' memories, rather than complex chord progressions or intricate melodies. Overall, "Remember When Freestyle" is a nostalgic and reflective look back at the rappers' childhoods and the places and people that shaped them.
