Rob Rewes's "Top of the World" is a song that speaks about the ups and downs of life. The song opens up with the singer telling us about his friends and how some of them feel like they're at the bottom of the sea while others feel like they're treading water. The singer then goes on to say that he has suffered just like the others and at times feels like there is no other way to be.
However, the chorus changes all that. The singer sings that he feels like he's on top of the world because of another person's influence on his life. This person was there for him when he was a mess and didn't even think he could hold it together. They gave him the confidence he needed to climb any mountain that came in his way. Now, he stands exactly where he wants to be because of this person.
The song is a beautiful tribute to the transformative power of relationships. It shows how the right person can lift us from our lowest point and make us feel like we're on top of the world. Suffering and pain are a part of life, but with the right person by our side, we can conquer anything.
