Song Of Hope
Robbie Seay Band Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

All things bright and beautiful You are
All things wise and wonderful You are
In my darkest night, You brighten up the skies
A song will rise

[Chorus]
I will sing a song of hope
Sing along
God of heaven come down
Heaven come down
Just to know that You are near is enough
God of heaven come down, heaven come down

All things new
I can start again
Creator, God
Calling me Your friend
Sing praise, my soul
To the Maker of the skies
A song will rise

[Chorus]

Hallelujah, sing [Repeat: x3]

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Robbie Seay Band’s Song of Hope express gratitude and acknowledgement of the divine presence even amidst the darkest moments of life. The opening lines, “All things bright and beautiful, You are / All things wise and wonderful, You are” are an acknowledgment of the greatness of God. The next line, “In my darkest night, you brighten up the skies,” is an allusion to the darkness and struggles that one faces in life. However, the song expresses that amidst this darkness, God’s presence brings light and hope. The chorus, “I will sing a song of hope / Sing along / God of heaven come down / Heaven come down / Just to know that You are near is enough,” emphasizes that the acknowledgement of God’s presence is enough to bring hope and comfort.

The second stanza, “All things new, I can start again / Creator, God, calling me Your friend / Sing praise, my soul, to the Maker of the skies / A song will rise,” highlights the renewal that comes from believing in God. The phrase “I can start again” implies a fresh start, while “calling me Your friend” highlights the personal relationship one can have with God. The stanza ends with the line “A song will rise,” which reiterates the theme of the song that amidst the hardship of life, the acknowledgement of God’s presence alone brings hope and joy.

Overall, the Song of Hope is a reminder to recognize the presence of God in one’s life, especially during tough times. The lyrics suggest that although life can be tough and overwhelming, acknowledging the greatness of God and His presence can change one's outlook, renew one's spirit, and bring comfort amidst troubles.
