Williams has received a record 18 Brit Awards, winning Best British Male Artist four times, Outstanding Contribution to Music twice, an Icon Award for his lasting impact on British culture, eight German ECHO Awards, and three MTV European Music Awards. In 2004, he was inducted into the UK Music Hall of Fame after being voted the Greatest Artist of the 1990s. According to the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), he has been certified for 20.2 million albums and 8.66 million singles in the UK as a solo artist. Five of his albums have also topped the Australian albums chart, and has sold 75 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling music artists of all time. He also topped the 2000–2010 UK airplay chart. His three concerts at Knebworth in 2003 drew over 375,000 people, the UK's biggest music event to that point. In 2014, he was awarded the freedom of his hometown of Stoke-on-Trent and had a tourist trail created and streets named in his honour. Williams' thirteenth album, XXV was released on 9 September 2022.
After 15 years, Williams rejoined Take That in 2010 to co-write and perform lead vocals on their album Progress, which became the second-fastest-selling album in UK chart history and the fastest-selling record of the century at the time. The subsequent stadium tour, which featured seven songs from Williams' solo career, became the biggest-selling concert in UK history when it sold 1.34 million tickets in less than 24 hours. In 2011, Take That frontman Gary Barlow confirmed that Williams had left the band for a second time to focus on his solo career, although he stated that the departure was amicable and that Williams was welcome to rejoin Take That in the future. Williams has since performed with Take That on three separate television appearances, and collaborated with Barlow on a number of projects such as the West End musical The Band.
My Way
Robbie Williams Lyrics

So I face the final curtain
My friends, I'll say it clear
And state my case of which I'm certain
I've lived a life that's full
I've traveled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
Regrets, I've had a few
But then again, too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exception
I planned each charted course
Each careful step along the byway
And more, much more than this
I did it my way
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way
I've loved, I've laughed and cried
Shed my tears, my share of losing
And now as tears subside
Find it all so confusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh, no, oh no, not me
I did it my way
For what is a man, what has he got
If not himself, then he has not
To show the world I'll stunt in heels
In others words I'm rolling on wheels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way
Robbie Williams's song My Way is a powerful reflection of one's life journey. The phrase "my way" makes the song anthemic in conveying the individuality of his experiences. The opening lyrics signify the end of his life, where the "final curtain" is near. This could either represent the actual end of his physical life or the end of an important chapter of his life. Williams follows up by saying that he's lived a life that's "full" and has traveled "each and every highway." This indicates that he has explored various paths and experiences, representing no regret in his life choices.
In the following verse, Williams seems to reflect on his past mistakes by saying that he has had "regrets," but they are "too few to mention." This could demonstrate his humility in being aware of his shortcomings but not dwelling on them. Instead, he did what he "had to do" to see things through. The line "I did it my way" reiterates that he pursued his choices with conviction despite the challenges. Williams goes on to mention that he planned each course and took careful steps, further emphasizing his commitment to his own path.
The chorus of the song is a powerful anthem of self-expression, where Williams repeats the phrase "I did it my way" multiple times. The final verse reflects on the philosophy of his life choices. He says that he is confused and overwhelmed by his life experiences, but he did what he did "not in a shy way." Instead of shying away from unchartered territories, Williams embraced them with boldness and tenacity. The song ends by reiterating the distinction between having "self" and "nothing." Overall, the lyrics of "My Way" reveal a message of individuality, committing to one's decisions and beliefs, and self-expression.

And now the end is near
It's almost the end of my life
So I face the final curtain
I know I'm about to die
My friends, I'll say it clear
I'm going to be honest with my friends
And state my case of which I'm certain
And tell them what I believe without a doubt
I've lived a life that's full
I've lived a life with no regrets
I've traveled each and every highway
I've experienced everything life has to offer
And more, much more than this
And not only that
I did it my way
I did it all on my own terms
Regrets, I've had a few
Yes, I've made some mistakes
But then again, too few to mention
But I don't regret most of them
I did what I had to do
I did what needed to be done
And saw it through without exception
And I never gave up
I planned each charted course
I planned my routes very carefully
Each careful step along the byway
I took every step of the way seriously
Yes, there were times, I'm sure you knew
Of course, there were times you knew I struggled
When I bit off more than I could chew
When I took on more than I could handle
But through it all when there was doubt
But even when things got hard
I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it head-on and never backed down
The record shows I took the blows
Despite the hardships, I kept going
And did it my way
And did it the way I wanted to do it
I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've lived a full and emotional life
Shed my tears, my share of losing
I've cried a lot and experienced my share of losses
And now as tears subside
Now, as I near the end of my life
Find it all so confusing
I find it hard to understand
To think I did all that
To think that I've done everything I have
And may I say, not in a shy way
And let me say, without being shy
Oh, no, oh no, not me
That it was all my doing
I did it my way
I did it all by myself, on my own terms
For what is a man, what has he got
Because really, what is a person?
If not himself, then he has not
Without being true to oneself, what is there?
To show the world I'll stunt in heels
To show my true self to the world, I'll even wear women's shoes
In others words I'm rolling on wheels
In other words, I'm doing things my own way
And did it my way
And did it all by myself, on my own terms
The record shows I took the blows
Despite the hardships, I kept going
And did it my way
And did it all by myself, on my own terms

I ate it up and spit it out
I faced it all, and I stood tall

[Verse 4]
I've loved, I've laughed and cried
I've had my share, my fill of losing

I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
Oh, no, oh, no, not me
I did it my way
[Verse 5]
For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
And did it my way
[Outro]
Yes, it was my way

All young people do stupid things and Robbie was trying to selfmedicate but that is never a god idea but back then he didnt know he was sick from being affraid for open places. But he is still great and that song i have heard him sing some years ago 🙂
@MarioCola
@@c.w.steffensen7691 who said I was being critical? 😂 He just old now, or he would be still having his fun 😂😂
@fiorebella3179
Why am I crying>? he sings like it is the easiest thing in the world, you can feel the love in this song, the passion, the sadness, the joy, the happiness. How is it possible to feel a bunch of emotions coming from a beautiful song and voice like that? I have never heard this version until now.
@c.w.steffensen7691
You are not alone - I dont eighter what it is but have learned over the years his voice has something extreme special that goes under your skin and does something for your emotions that I cant put words on but there is magic somewhere in that voice!
@racingworld6466
Vocally it's not hugely challenging, but to sing it well, that's the hard part
