In 1968, Goulet was on Broadway in the Kander and Ebb musical, The Happy Time. He appeared in a 1982 production of Rose-Marie with Inga Swenson, and in 2005 appeared in the Broadway revival of Jerry Herman's La Cage aux Folles. Goulet began a recording career with Columbia Records in 1962 which resulted in more than 15 albums.
Goulet began working in films in 1962, providing the voice of one of the characters in the animated feature Gay Purr-ee opposite Judy Garland. His first acting role was in His and Hers (1964), but it was not until a cameo appearance as a singer in Louis Malle's Atlantic City (1980) that Goulet was given critical acclaim. He recorded the song Atlantic City (My Old Friend) for Applause Records in 1981.
He was absent from the screen for seven years until he was cast by Tim Burton as a houseguest blown through the roof by Beetlejuice and also played himself in Bill Murray's Scrooged (both 1988). In 1990, he sang the Canadian national anthem at the beginning of WrestleMania VI, which was held at the Toronto Skydome in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
In 1991, Goulet starred, along with John Putch and Hillary Bailey Smith, in the unsold television series pilot Acting Sheriff. That same year he appeared as the bad guy known as 'Quentin Hapsburg' opposite Leslie Nielsen in the comedy The Naked Gun 2½: The Smell of Fear.
In 1993, he played himself in the Simpsons episode $pringfield. In that episode, he sang the well-known Jingle Bells (Batman Smells), although he has yet to record the song commercially. In 1996, he appeared in Ellen DeGeneres' first starring vehicle, Mr. Wrong, as an insecure TV host. Goulet has also appeared in the Disney cartoon, 'Recess', as the singing voice for Mikey Blumberg, in numerous episodes.
All Of You
Robert Goulet Lyrics

there's a big romantic deal I've got to wangle
For I've fallen for a certain luscious lass
And it's not a passing fancy or a fancy pass
I love the look of you, the lure of you
The sweet of you, the pure of you **
The eyes, the arms, the mouth of you
I'd love to gain complete control of you
And handle even the heart and soul of you
So love, at least, a small percent of me, do
For I love all of you
The lyrics of Robert Goulet's song All of You expresses the deep affection the singer has for a woman. He describes his interest in her, stating that he has analyzed her from every possible angle and found her to be irresistible. He has fallen for her completely and is not interested in a fleeting romance. The singer proceeds to enumerate the specific features that have drawn him to this woman. He loves every part of her- her looks, sweetness, and purity. He desires to take control of her fully and not only her physical form but her heart and soul as well. Despite his affection, he understands that she may not reciprocate his feelings to the same extent. He pleads with her to love even a small percentage of him in return.
The song's lyrics convey the love and desire of the singer for a woman, and the mood of the song is romantic and passionate. The song is an example of crooner music, a style of singing that peaked in the 1930s and 1940s. Robert Goulet was an American singer and actor who starred in a variety of Broadway musicals, movies, and television shows. He recorded All of You in 1962, and it became one of his signature pieces. The song was written by Cole Porter, a composer, and songwriter, who was known for his witty lyrics and sophisticated songs. Interestingly, the song was originally written for the musical Silk Stockings, which debuted on Broadway in 1955.

There is no longer talent or class like the one found in Mr. Goulet's and Ms. Andrew's generation.
Robert Ham
@Erhard Jäckel While I love Robert Goulet and Julie Andrews, you're telling us that there are no great artists today? Zero? No one has any talent? Talent stopped with these two?
Erhard Jäckel
Very true, both great artists, which cannot be found today anymore
David Millbrook
I mean, that's a luttle short sighted...go to literally any musical theatre school and you'll find a good number of individuals that are just as good in that legit style...
Juli Starling
Well, there aren't any others who can sing just like them, but then, everyone is unique.
And, yes, there still is talent today too. Thank you for remembering to mention it. ^___^
Robert Ham
Huh? While I like Julie A. and Robert G. and lots of older stars, saying there is no talent today seems a bit crazy. Every generation has plenty of talent, but tastes and expectations are always changing.
irvinemuscle
This is an example of what true CLASS looks like, don't see much of it today. Both great super-talented stars.

He's amazing, but this is also one of the greatest pieces of Broadway music and lyrics ever composed.

You can feel the palpable love from her to him and from the audience. Magic, pure and simple! No special effects, just raw emotion and talent.
Bill Brimmer
He always nailed his signature song. Tell me who isn't in love with Julie Andrews? They always had a wonderful friendship over the years and were supportive to each other. Great to see.
