Tiers
Robert Kino Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Overall Meaning

The lyrics in Robert Kino's song Tiers express the regret and longing of the singer after a failed relationship. He laments that he should never have met this person as he signed his own downfall from the start. Seven years later, he still only has eyes for her and wishes things could have turned out differently. He acknowledges that their names will never end up together in the stories that the world will remember of them. He contemplates starting a new life far away from her, where nothing would remind him of her except the memory of a perfect woman living at the edge of the world. The chorus emphasizes how a third of his life has been spent thinking about the same girl and healing the same wound.

The song is a poignant reflection on lost love and the feeling of being trapped in the past. The singer is haunted by the memory of someone he can't have but can't forget. The lyrics are emotive and relatable, touching on themes of regret, heartbreak, and the inability to move on. The use of the metaphor of a wound that needs to be healed emphasizes the pain and trauma that comes with failed relationships. The chorus also reveals the recurring thoughts and mental struggles that accompany such experiences.

Something weird I noticed throughout this video is that a lot of the cancelled Superman movies tried to use Brainiac. Maybe that’s the real “Superman Curse”.

Omar López

He is one of Supes most iconic bad guys, is like if we still didn't had a Batman film with Two Face.

Absolute legend, literally binge watch and rewatch your videos so often. Thank you so much for the hard work, literally can’t wait to watch this :)

The idea of Superman's dad thinking the Kryptonian way is best and wanting his son to impose that on Earth for the betterment of everyone is an interesting idea, cuz think about it Krypton is usually portrayed as a perfect technologically advanced utopia, maybe Supes' dad really would think it'd be worth it for Superman to basically turn Earth into a 2nd Krypton, plus in every continuity he sends Superman to Earth with a bunch of knowledge from their race adding to how that would make some since if a writer were to use it again someday, hell you could probably even retcon this idea into the main continuity if you really wanted that's how interesting it is

TheLeonPasta

@JakeSpacePirate E I usually think of Krypton as being basically a utopian society, but maybe other incarnations portray it in a less perfect light, I'm not too knowledgeable about the Superman mythos

JakeSpacePirate E

are you sure? i remember something about how Krypton was Hierarchical and very corrupt...

Both congratulations for the milestone; and thank you for a video that's about Superman that doesn't involve too much negativity, like the tired argument that he's "boring and unrelatable," but focuses on the weird and fun parts. Although the criticism of there being too many "evil Supermen" in media I 100% approve being highlighted, even though I wouldn't blame DC for since it's their character.

Logan Newman

keep making these man, I always love how you make these iceberg charts yourself, must take goddamn hours in research, we appreciate your commitment

I think the "Superman Curse" is so stupid. Like, it doesn't matter if you played Superman or not, if you get in an accident or get diagnosed Alzheimer's that's just how life goes. Like those things would've happened to those people either way, it's just the natural course of life lmao. It's not like the Madden curse where it actually legitimately seems like a curse given how many consistent cases of misfortune there were
