Falling In Love Again
Robert Plant Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴

I'm falling in love again
I'm falling in love again
It might break my heart
It might even tear it apart
But I'm falling in love again
Yes I am and listen, honey

I'm thinking of no one but you every day
I'm thinking of no one but you
I think of you all the time
Oh darling please be mine
I'm falling in love again
Yes I am and listen

This is what love will do for you
It will make you cry sometimes
It will make you walk and don't know where you're going
It will make my heart feel burnin'
And I don't know for certain
Just why it's happening this way
But I promised myself a long time ago
But it never happened to me
I'm falling in love again
Yes I am and listen

I hope you don't break my heart no more
I hope you don't break my heart
Say you love me all the time
Oh darling you'll always be mine
And I'm falling in love again, yes I am
I am falling in love again
Sometimes I have to walk the floor

But I'm falling in love again
Sometimes my heart

Overall Meaning

aches, but I'm falling in love again

The lyrics of Robert Plant's "Falling in Love Again" talk about the complicated feelings of starting a new relationship after having gone through heartbreak before. The singer seems to have found someone new and is falling in love again, however, he is worried that it might end up like his previous relationship, where his heart was broken. He's made a promise to himself that he wouldn't let himself fall in love again, but it's happening anyway, and he can't help but feel the burn in his heart that comes with new love.

The lyrics towards the end of the song reveal the singer's vulnerability and fear, as he hopes that his new love won't break his heart again. He wants to be with this person and hopes that they feel the same way. Overall, the song is an honest portrayal of the emotional rollercoaster that comes with falling in love again, and the fear of getting hurt that comes with it.

I agree, his voice has continued to improve with age. What a nice thing to find this song...

singers don't get better as they age...and he's shy of 70 now, so he's a senior.. musicians get better, evolve. i don't know how old you are or if you ever got to see zeppelin "live" but back then his voice was mind blowing. he became a legend and arguably the best front man, ever. he's still good but not "better" than he was.

I'm 16 years old, and I just love this song. Robert Plant is my hero, and none will ever be as talented as him. Love you Robbie. <3

If anything, Mr. Plants' voice has gotten better with age. This album is new to me, being a recluse musically, the way I am. I've got it ordered. It will be here soon.
