As someone who owns everything that the Cocteaus ever made, I'm embarrassed to say that tonight is the first time I've heard this. No one does Melancholy and Triumphant like Robin

Hearing this for the first time. I hear distant echoes of Victorialand. Wonderful.

I became aware of Robin Guthrie through his collaborations with Harold Budd (RIP). This album is by far my favorite of his solo works that I have heard thus far. Several of the pieces here for me harken back to the 12 string arpeggios of early Genesis.

This is such a beautiful album. I'm so impressed with Robin's immense talent.

After a lifetime obsession with cocteau twins I'm hearing this for the first time. As always it is amazingly evocative but somehow, without her, the joy and the ecstasy are missing. His heart is sad and you can hear his meloncholy dripping through every song. Heartbreaking.😔 Oh, if only they could somehow get back together, even if it we're just at least on a collaborative level. We can always hope.

Hello Cocteau Twins & Robin Guthrie fans. I'm sure I either read or saw on YouTube an interview with bassist Simon Raymonde. This was a couple of years ago and he shared that promoters were offering up to 6 figures (?!) For a reunion tour.
Well, it's 2020 and that's almost over too. One never knows but we have all these other treasures to listen to right here on YT!!! I never knew about all his solo works and how great they are!
Plus, if the rumour was true that Robin went overboard on the drug use, you can see why Elizabeth Fraser wouldn't want to return. I've also read somewhere her reluctance to conjure up the past.
Take care!

Bill Smith You echoed my thoughts with every word there. I'm listening to this for the first time after 8 years of listening to CT and I also find it deeply melancholic. Really hope their reunion would someday come to fruition.
