I Believe I'm Fine
Robin Schulz Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

No you don't need it as much as you used to, do you?
You didn't think that I noticed it, did you? But I did, yeah
Your love it has a way, has a way, pulling me apart at the seams
And I don't believe that you're leaving, 'cause

Remember when it was me
That held you high when you're lonely
The guy you call when you're down
Remember when it was only
Me, you'd want on the line
The one I trusted to know me
The one I can't tell a lie
And if I keep it repeating

Maybe I believe I'm fine
Maybe I believe I'm alright
Maybe I believe I'm fine
Maybe I believe I'm alright
Maybe I believe I'm fine
Maybe I believe I'm alright
Maybe I believe I'm fine
Maybe I believe I'm alright
Right, right yeah

(Believe it, I need your love)
(Believe it, you used to have)
(Believe it, I need your love)
(You don't remember my love)

You never answer the questions I ask you, that's on you
And I never question the answers you give me, but I should
Yeah, your lovin' as a way, as a way
Of making me forget all my senses
But I don't believe that you're leaving 'cause

Remember when it was me
That held you high when you're lonely
The guy you call when you down
Remember when it was only
Me, you'd want on the line
The one I trusted to know me
The one I can't tell a lie
And if I keep it repeating

Maybe I believe I'm fine
Maybe I believe I'm alright
Maybe I believe I'm fine
Maybe I believe I'm alright
Maybe I believe I'm fine
Maybe I believe I'm alright
Maybe I believe I'm fine
Maybe I believe I'm alright
Right right yeah

(Believe it, I need your love)
(Believe it, you used to have)
(Believe it, I need your love)
(You don't remember my love)

Where did you go when you gone and I need you (I need your love)
You don't remember my love like you used to, you used to (you used to have)
Where did you go when you gone and I need you (I need your love)
You don't remember my love

Remember when it was me
That held you high when you lonely
The guy you call when you're down
Remember when it was only
Me, you'd want on the line
The one I trusted to know me
The one I can't tell a lie
And if I keep it repeating

Maybe I believe I'm fine

(Believe it, I need your love)
(Believe it, you used to have)

(Believe it, I need your love)
(You don't remember my love)

Overall Meaning

The song "I Believe I'm Fine" by German DJ and producer Robin Schulz is a reflection on the fading of love and relationships. The opening lines - "No you don't need it as much as you used to, do you? You didn't think that I noticed it, did you? But I did, yeah" - convey a sense of loss and the realization that the person being addressed in the song no longer needs the love and attention that they once did. The theme of the song centers around how love has a way of pulling people apart at the seams and the conflicting emotions that come with breaking up.

The lyrics also touch on the memories of happier times. The chorus - "Remember when it was me that held you high when you're lonely, the guy you call when you're down… Maybe I believe I'm fine, maybe I believe I'm alright" - brings to mind past moments of comfort and support in the relationship. The repetition of "maybe I believe I'm fine" seems to be a way of reassuring oneself that one can move on from the relationship even if it is not entirely true.

Overall, "I Believe I'm Fine" carries a sense of melancholy and loss, but also the possibility of letting go and moving on from the past.

I actually feel like the story of the clip is about a very hurt and lonely guy who always tells himself he is fine, even if he's not. He got on the Wrong path but when he was trying to kidnap someone, he took the wrong person and freed them. But the guy who he had kidnapped before, actually noticed his feelings and kept following the kidnapper, no matter how many times he got rejected. The Kidnapper simply couldn't stand this in the beginning and always tried to escape but when he finally had his chance to, he remembered how the victim always stood by his side and how he didn't feel lonely anymore. He started to miss him so, in the end, he gave up on running away and started to live on with the guy he accidently kidnapped.

Mabe the story is about you and you just don't realize that

@peterduxbury927

@@ghostmane8018 It was a very good psychological report - on the basis of the Film Clip. I have to agree also, that the Lyrics seem to indicate this. This song is in my favorite Playlist, because it's just brilliant, and does not seem to age. This song is about thousands - or even millions of us. Appreciate your comment, which made me look inside myself! Greetings from Australia.
