Rising to fame with his role as the alien Mork in the TV series Mork & Mindy (1978–1982), Williams went on to establish a successful career in both stand-up comedy and feature film acting. His film career included such acclaimed films as Good Morning, Vietnam (1987), Dead Poets Society (1989), Awakenings (1990), The Fisher King (1991), and Good Will Hunting (1997), as well as financial successes such as Popeye (1980), Hook (1991), Aladdin (1992), Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), Jumanji (1995), The Birdcage (1996), Night at the Museum (2006), and Happy Feet (2006). He also appeared in the video "Don't Worry, Be Happy" by Bobby McFerrin.

Nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor three times, Williams went on to receive the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Good Will Hunting (1997). He also received two Emmy Awards, four Golden Globes, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and five Grammy Awards.

On August 11, 2014, Williams was found unconscious at his residence and was pronounced dead at the scene. The Marin County, California coroner's office said they believe the cause of death was asphyxiation.

Today God has showed grace to you who might be depressed, empty, are being hated or hates, or maybe you don’t receive genuine love this is even for you who enjoys or is comfortable with his current life, whoever you who is reading this is know that God is calling you to give you a future and a hope in this life and in the eternal life, trust him because he loves you so much that is beyond understanding and the time is short.

Hearing about Robin Williams' death was like remembering where I was when 9/11 happened. I was in Vegas on vacation, and it was the most memorable trip of my life. My friends and family all reflected on his life and what he meant for us growing up. He was more than just an actor; he was a icon who made you think about what kind of country we wanted to live in. ...emotional pain is often the hardest to understand and to deal with. For many it becomes unbearable and another life is lost. He has my greatest sympathy. I never felt that he was anything special as either a comedian or actor so stopped watching him. When he died though i was deeply saddened that he had suffered so. What we saw as great ,was him fighting for distance from problems he couldn’t face. I have ADHD and when I started seeing what it did to my life,I became very depressed because I can’t fix what I missed ,and can’t stop being the same way. My life is a constant coping mechanism,running on high mania to feel good about what I don’t. I can see clearly what drives me,and you see what I do and my enthusiasm to stay beyond those demons of nothingness. Robin Williams was someone I can really relate to,when someone tells me they admire my energy and drive. When it’s actually my lack of self esteem that is willing to take you wholeheartedly somewhere else.

I am not yet sure on Robbie and his part in this big movie they have been playing for us all these years the world stage if you will. Either way Unfortunately this part of Robbie mustn’t be celebrated. These events are held for particular reasons. Energy harvesting for Satan and his demonic spirits. And the dressing up as a cheerleader which are usually women or wearing a dress is a sign of mocking towards god. Multiple actors do this it’s disturbing and wrong, Kevin hart, Dave Chapelle, Robbie. When I heard about Robin Williams suicide death I cried. I thought to myself about how he made so many people happy and made them laugh. He did this while he was hurting inside. Just the thought brings tears to my eyes. Rest in Peace Robin.

Don't forget Robin was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. He knew what he was about to face. My grandfather passed away from that disease, and it's the worst form of dementia you can possibly get. I honestly don't blame Robin for what he chose. I know he had a history of depression as well, but hearing that news and knowing you're gonna be a total husk in less than 2 years must be terrifying. My grandpa died two years after being diagnosed. It's still unbelievable to me how fast he plunged. No one should ever have to suffer with that.

Grew up watching him at the beginning of his career on "Mork and Mindy". From that point on he became my favorite actor. Always enjoyed him in all his movies and comedy skits.. Such a great actor and comedian. I cried when I heard of his passing. Felt like I had a true connection to him. You are greatly missed Robin. RIP.

I love Robin Williams. Didn’t enjoy his stand up, even though I wanted to. But I enjoyed his movies and I enjoy listening to his thoughts during interviews by this.
As far as his craft, I think his crowing achievement will always be Good Will Hunting. His depth and his acting prowess was on full display in that movie.

Still so intelligent, insightful, and articulate even towards the end. Only Robin knew the full breadth of what he had lost to this disease, because his mind was so incredible. We only saw the surface of it and still observed his extraordinary composure and abilities- but to have a mind like his, even a little bit of cognitive loss must feel immense to the sufferer, despite the fact that to most people he would still seem abnormally brilliant. He contained galaxies. I think in his heart he knew it was not Parkinson's and that his time was much more limited, his quality of life at much greater risk, than the diagnosis he had been given so far at that point. I feel he was deeply gripped in paranoia and delusions when that fateful moment occurred, and wouldn't have left the world otherwise. An ordinary person would have crumbled under the weight of such a horrifying nightmare of a disease much more quickly. I can't believe he was even still working for so long with these challenges. Most humans wouldn't even have attempted that. When I think of Robin Williams, I still think of all the magic he made us believe in and the absolute powerhouse of intellect and emotional depth that he carried with him into every movie, every television appearance, and undoubtedly into his personal relationships. I will always believe in that magic, because I've seen it, thanks to Robin Williams. In the darkest moments on this planet, I remember that people can be incredible.

First of all, chances are he didn't commit suicide but was taken out by the illuminati in a ritual sacrifice. Secondly, there is no peace for anyone who commits suicide, unless you think having a ghost body is peaceful. I remember vividly finding out he died. I was at work and spent my lunch break coming up with the tribute tattoo i got a week later on my 21st birthday… a tattoo of the genie the says “i believe in destiny, there must be a reason that i am as i am.” Rip robin.
