He rocks in the tree-tops all night long
HoppinU and a boppinU and a-singinU the song
All the little birdies on J-bird St.
Love to hear the Robin goinU tweet tweet tweet

Chorus:
RockinU Robin (tweet tweet tweet)
RockinU Robin (tweet tweet tweet)
Oh RockinU Robin well you really gonna rock tonight

Every little swallow, every chickadee
Every little birdie on the tall oak tree
The wise old owl, the big black crow
Flapping them wings sayinU go bird go

Wordy little raven at the birdUs first dance
Taught him how to do the bop and it was grand
He started goinU steady and I bless my soul

HoppinU and a boppinU and a-singinU the song
All the little birdies on J-bird St.
Love to hear the Robin goinU tweet tweet tweet

Overall Meaning

The song Childhood by Robin Williams is a playful and whimsical tribute to the joyful innocence of youth. Through the metaphor of a rockin' robin who sings all night long in the tree-tops, Williams captures the energy and exuberance of childhood. The alliteration in the opening line, "He rocks in the tree-tops all night long," creates a vivid image of the bird's constant movement and lively spirit. This is reinforced by the descriptions of him "hoppin' and boppin'" and "singin' the song," conveying a sense of carefree joy.

The chorus of the song, with its repeated refrain of "tweet, tweet, tweet," captures the simplicity and purity of childhood pleasures. The joy that the little birdies on J-bird St. feel when they hear the robin's sweet song is a reminder of the everyday wonders that can bring happiness to our lives. The song also makes reference to other birds, including the wise old owl and the big black crow, who join in the fun and encourage the robin to keep on rockin'. Furthermore, the introduction of the wordy little raven and the other birds at the bird's first dance highlights the social aspect of childhood where children learn from others and gain new experiences from being around them.

Overall, Childhood by Robin Williams is a fun and uplifting song that serves as a reminder to listeners of the importance of embracing our inner child and finding joy in simple pleasures. It conveys the message that even in the midst of the struggles and stresses of daily life, we can always find something to sing and dance about, just like the rockin' robin.

@Angel Simone weird the same thing is kinda happening to me.
Everyone seems to be reacting very weird with me and I am always being fallowed by and watched by white trucks and vans.
Plus everyone is judging me and putting words in my mouth.
But I have times when I misread things so I don’t let it bother me as much anymore, I use to get really frantic when things like this happened but I have come to understand it’s just my disorder and I will go through it every once and a while.
I have had my disorder for many years so I learned when I was distorting things and am able to not become overwhelmed and unstable mentally and emotionally like I use to.
I hope you are feeling better and I am sorry your facing such issues.
Just know you will be okay and that everything will get better.
Try to just let things be, I know it can be hard when people are mistreating you but just know your not alone and that things will hopefully get better.
Try to stay positive and stay safe and always remember “mind over matter no matter the mind”!!
