In Rocío Jurado's song "Como si fuera pecado", the singer addresses the judgment and criticism she receives from others because of the age difference between her and her partner. She defiantly declares that she will continue to love her partner regardless of what people say. The chorus, "como si fuera pecado" (as if it were a sin), emphasizes the societal stigma attached to their relationship.
The singer explains that she will continue to watch over her partner and support him, despite what others may think. She scoffs at the judgment of others and asserts that she knows the love she shares with her partner is genuine. The song's tone is one of defiance and rebellion against societal norms and expectations.
This song highlights the tension that can arise between societal norms and personal feelings. It's not uncommon for people to judge and criticize those who don't conform to societal expectations, which can put pressure on individuals to stay within those norms. "Como si fuera pecado" encourages people to follow their hearts and not worry about what others may think.
