Killer
Roche Eric Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

So you want, to be free
Live your life, the way you want to be
Will you give, if we cry
Will we live yeah, or will we die, oh

Tainted hearts heal with time
Shoot bad love so we can
Stop the bleeding

Solitary brother (solitary brother)
Is there still a part of you that wants to live?
Solitary sister (solitary sister)
Is there still a part of you that wants to give?
Solitary brother (solitary brother)
Is there still a part of you that wants to live?
Solitary sister (solitary sister)
Is there still a part of you that wants to give?

If we try, to live your life
The way we want to be

Yeah, yeah
Solitary brother (solitary brother)
Is there still a part of you that wants to live?
Solitary sister (solitary sister)
Is there still a part of you that wants to give?
Solitary brother (solitary brother)
Is there still a part of you that wants to live?
Solitary sister (solitary sister)
Is there still a part of you that wants to give?

Racism in future kings can only lead to no good
And besides, all our sons and daughters already know how that feels

Yeah, yeah, yeah
Love, love, love, yeah

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Roche Eric's song "Killer" speak to the desire for freedom and the struggle to overcome the stains on the heart left by difficult experiences. The song begins with an invitation to live life freely, to give and receive love, and then presents a dilemma - will we live or will we die? This haunting question sets the tone for the rest of the song, which goes on to explore the experiences of those who feel "solitary" and disconnected from the world around them.

Throughout the song, the lyrics suggest the presence of some kind of deep pain or struggle. The use of the word "tainted" to describe the heart implies that something has happened to damage it, and the phrase "bad love" suggests that the pain is connected to interpersonal relationships. However, the lyrics also offer hope that this pain can be healed with time. The repeated refrain of "solitary brother" and "solitary sister" calls out to those who may be feeling alone and offers a sense of solidarity and belonging, while also acknowledging the struggle that comes with feeling disconnected. The final lines of the song reference the harm that can come from racism, but ultimately land on a message of love and hope.

In summary, "Killer" is a powerful song that speaks to the struggle of overcoming pain and finding connection and hope in the face of adversity.

Wow loved this! For what I assume was a production with pretty limited budget, its very well done! And very well written, with the setup that one of the 4 could die at beginning! It kept me speculating on who would die, as you built up to the murder/suicide.

Keep experimenting and doing all kinds of stuff. My favourite youtuber (Hbomberguy) also does all kinds of unrelated content and part of why his content rocks is exactly because he doesn't let himself be put in a box and talks on anything and everything he is passionate about. It makes for videos that have this unmistakable personal touch that you can only get from his channel.

If you keep experimenting like this and trying all kinds of things you're interested in, the videos will be way more engaging to the average viewer, than if it was content that they could get on any other channel.

So yeah, well done! And looking forward to the next one no matter what you have planned!

No mention of the worldwide impact of the ‘Imprimis’ newsletter. This ‘boring’ school probably could use another short documentary touching on ‘no federal funding’. Kudos for taking a balanced-view approach to this scandal. And I like the narrators voice. Good job.

Wow, this is actually an amazing documentary

I am a very conservative person and found this video to be well written and relatively even handed given the subject matter. Oh, and Reagan was the GOAT. Thanks!

Hey, Alex here — I too am conservative, though I definitely have my issues with Reagan.
