Rock Choir offers teenagers and adults the chance to sing pop, Motown, gospel and chart songs without the need to audition, read music or have any previous singing experience. It holds three Guinness World Records – 'biggest hit act in the UK', 'largest musical act to release an album (signed)' and 'largest song and dance routine held at multiple locations'.
On 16 July 2010 the Daily Mail called it "Britain's biggest choral movement." In March 2012 it had over 16,000 members rehearsing in 186 locations throughout the UK. In August 2011, Coutts Woman Magazine described Rock Choir as "a community singing phenomenon that is sweeping the country," and "one of Britain's biggest brands."

And all the joy within you dies
Don't you want somebody to love
Don't you need somebody to love
Wouldn't you love somebody to love
You better find somebody to love
And your mind is so full of red
Don't you want s
Don't you need somebody to love
Wouldn't you love somebody to love
You better find somebody to love
Your eyes, I say your eyes may look like his
Yea!!
But in your head, Baby, I'm afraid you don't know where it is
Don't you want somebody to love
Don't you need somebody to love
Wouldn't you love somebody to love
You better find somebody to love
Tears are running up, they're running down your breast
And your friends, Baby, they treat you like a guest
Don't you want somebody to love
Don't you need somebody to love
Wouldn't you love somebody to love
You better find somebody to love
The lyrics of Rock Choir's song "Somebody to Love" depict the yearning for companionship, comfort and support during hard times. The opening lines, "When the truth is found to be lies / And all the joy within you dies" highlight the pain of deception and disappointment, which can leave one feeling alone and disheartened. The chorus then offers a solution to this emptiness, stressing the importance of finding someone to love and who loves us back. The repetition of "Don't you want somebody to love / Don't you need somebody to love / Wouldn't you love somebody to love / You better find somebody to love" emphasize the urgency and seriousness of this message.
The second verse continues to illustrate the struggles and turmoil one can experience, using the metaphor of dead garden flowers and a mind filled with red (perhaps representing anger or anxiety). These difficulties can make it even more important to have someone to turn to for comfort and support. The bridge of the song, "Your eyes, I say your eyes may look like his / But in your head, Baby, I'm afraid you don't know where it is" suggests that while one may physically resemble someone else, they may not truly understand or know where that person is coming from. This reinforces the need for genuine connection and understanding in relationships.
Overall, the lyrics of "Somebody to Love" emphasize the importance of human connection and love, which can provide comfort, support, and understanding during difficult times.
