I'm sitting up here crying listening to this song. It's the best of my very early childhood. Thinking of all my loved ones that have passed on, and being grateful for those still here. I'm 51 and by God's grace I still have both of my parents. But those summer vacations in Chicago, those times when we would run to meet our grandparents getting off the plane, everybody gathered around the big table. Man, this song is like a time portal. I listen to this song every day. It takes me back to my childhood when my mother was a young, vibrant woman and my siblings and I played all day in the streets of our Cleveland, Ohio neighborhood. Back then my biggest problem was getting home before the street lights came on. I had no bills, nobody died, the internet did not exist so people actually talked to each other in person. Why do we have to grow up?

I love this song. I listen to it pretty much everyday. Although it's twofold for me because it brings me happiness but also sadness When I hear it. The happiness is of days when loved ones were still living and I was a young girl and life was great and the sadness is that some of my loved ones have passed on and the beautiful memories I shared when they were here. In that same year he was all over tv singing " You and me" to a national audience on various variety shows. " You and Me" is so popular it became his signature song and theeee song, his fanbase request him to sing whenever he performs. Last time, I saw him perform this song was about 8 years ago. Just because a market doesn't promote a song does not mean other markets didn't. Rockie Robbins is known for this ballad more than the other songs he performed and he had some great tunes, such as " I believe in love" and " Be ever wonderful" which is a remake of Earth Wind and Fire song. Its Epic when Rockie delivers it. This artists was Huge for a short time in the industry. Its a shame, someone as gifted and marketable as he didn't have longevity in the industry. He was certainly put out there and promoted as a smooth R&B balladeer and he delivered. Not to mention how much the women swooned over his tall good looks.

I saw this post on Facebook with this lady and her family stepping. Every time I watch that video it bring tears to my eyes. Just reminds me of growing up and family was in a happy place. I didn't know who had made this song so I had to look it up! I have fell in love with this song!
