The singer, Valerie, has been alone for a long time, but Providence seems to be on her side as she meets her lover, who is willing to take her away from this place of loneliness and leave everything behind.
The lyrics from the song paint a vivid image of two people running away from their problems and being together, away from all their worries. The song does an excellent job of capturing the emotions of hopelessness and loneliness and contrastively shifting the mood to that of love and hope.
