It was in 1978 that the group enjoyed their first commercial success with "Rama Lama Ding Dong", which reached number 17 in the Top 20 of the UK Singles Chart. More chart success quickly followed with another single, "Imagination", which reached number 39 in 1979.
It was not until 1982 that Sharpe would find himself with another major hit. "Shout! Shout! (Knock Yourself Out)" was moderately popular and put the singer back into the higher reaches of the chart. The group's last chart single was "If You Wanna Be Happy", which reached UK chart position 46 in 1983.

I remember this record so well from when I was 12 or 13. I absolutely loved what started happening at 2:05 when the man starts singing: "For example, I go round wanting you/and yet I can't imagine that you want me/ that you want me too" and then at about 2:12 that lovely and totally unexpected female voice suddenly appears and sings almost the same words incredibly beautifully. The contrast of two voices I thought was gorgeous in those few seconds. And the words I just quoted - has young love, the pain, the pangs, the unsureness ever been put so well?
