Reason To Believe
Rod Stewart & Ron Wood Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

If I listened long enough to you
I'd find a way to believe that it's all true
Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried
Still I look to find a reason to believe

Someone like you makes it hard to live without
Somebody else
Someone like you makes it easy to give
Never think about myself

If I gave you time to change my mind
I'd find a way just to leave the past behind
Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried
Still I look to find a reason to believe

If I listened long enough to you
I'd find a way to believe that it's all true
Knowing that you lied straight-faced while I cried
Still I look to find a reason to believe

Someone like you makes it hard to live without
Somebody else
Someone like you makes it easy to give
Never think about myself

Someone like you makes it hard to live without
Somebody else
Someone like you makes it easy to give
Never think about myself

Someone like you makes it hard to live without
Somebody else
Someone like you makes it easy to give
Never think about myself

Someone like you makes it hard to live without
Somebody else

His songs, The majority of his songs he did not write and some of the ones he did he plagiarized and had to pay dearly. Just ask Bob Dylan! He's a poser. Even copied his singing style from the late great Steve Marriott. This song was written by another great Tim Hardin.

Complete and utter nonsense. Get over yourself.
The world recycles itself all the time: Great songs and tunes. The Beatles and the Stones started in the same way.
Rod Stewart makes a great job of every song he sings.
I call it paying homage.
