My Neighborhood
Rodney Dangerfield Lyrics

Jump to: Line by Line Meaning ↴

My Dying Bride
Like Gods Of The Sun
For My Fallen Angel
As I draw up my breath
And silver fills my eyes
I kiss her still
For she will never rise
On my weak body
Lays her dying hand
Through those meadows of Heaven
Where we ran

Like a thief in the night
The wind blows so light
It wars with my tears
That won't dry for many years

"Loves golden arrow

At her should have fled
and not Deaths ebon dart
To strike her dead."

No comedian alive today could match this man. One of a kind.

Ele

Mel Brooks. Rodney was amazing but there are better comics still alive.

No one even tries to tell jokes like this anymore.

D4RTH KNIGHT

Still the funniest man on Earth, and he's not even walking on it anymore. What a legend.

This guy was a treasure! I was watching an old episode of The Simpsons and this one character had a really distinct way of talking that I had heard people imitate many times before, so I googled the episode and found out that the guest star's name was Rodney Dangerfield. I googled "Rodney Dangerfield jokes" and this is the first video that popped up; I did not know this man's name 4 minutes ago and I'm already a fan, that's how much of a treasure this guy is!

"Burns Baby Burns" is a great episode of the Simpsons. Dangerfield plays Mr. Burns' son Larry Burns. Some fantastic lines in that one.

AHHHHH my GOD! There is and was nobody like Rodney! I just realized that he was so clever it almost takes a full second to catch on and explode with laughter but he is already on to the next, and one does not know what to expect. Can't watch a Rodney video without a subconscious grin on one's face the whole time! I believe that when he got to Heaven he was shown all the laughter and joy he brought to so many thousands of souls. And also looks down sometimes, when he knows someone is enjoying a video of his and he feels the joy of laughter he brought to that soul. Like just right now.
