Get High
Roger S Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Let yourself fall into all we believe
There's nooo, nooo deceit
Come into the water its all you can see
Ooh its all that you need
Ooh it's all that you need
Do you want to get known
How we move forward
Your show unfold
Don't you want to get higher
Then I think you should know
And if you feel chosen
For reasons unknown
Walk into the water and tell me how it feels
All you ever wanted, will all disappear
Ooh it all, all disappears
Come into the water it's all you can hear
Ooh its all that you need
Ooh it's all that you need
Do you wanna get higher
Do you want to get known
How we move forward
Your show unfold
Don't you want to get higher
Then I think you should know
And if you feel chosen
For reasons unnkown
As the show unfolds
And the stories told
When we're all alone
And our hearts become one
As the show unfolds
And the stories told
When we're all alone
And our hearts become one
Do you wanna get higher
Do you want to get known
How we move forward
Your show unfold
Don't you want to get higher
Then I think you should know
And if you feel chosen
For reasons unnkown
The song "Get High" by Roger S has a dreamy and euphoric quality to it, characterized by its ethereal sound and inviting lyrics that seem to beckon the listener into a trance-like state. The song invites the listener to "come into the water," implying a sense of immersion and surrender to the experience. The lyrics suggest that this experience will provide a sense of fulfillment, as the water holds everything that the listener needs.
The theme of the song seems to revolve around the desire to transcend mundane reality and experience something greater. The repeated refrain of "Do you wanna get higher, do you want to get known?" suggests a yearning to escape the confines of ordinary existence and be recognized for one's unique talents and qualities.
The second verse introduces the idea of the "show unfolding" and the singer feeling "chosen for reasons unknown." These lines suggest a feeling of destiny, as if the individual is meant to play a role in a grander scheme. The song seems to be urging listeners to embrace this sense of purpose and to trust in the journey that lies ahead.

Back in 92 when no commercial radio station was playing house music. At least not in Perth anyway. There was a light in the darkness. His name was Ben Stinga. He played nothing but underground US house. The appropriately called Stryctly Rythm. Every sat night from 9-11pm on our own public radio station RTRFm. Thank you Mr Stinga. You opened my mind to soulful music that I will never get sick of. Much respect, even now, 18 years later. 😈

@Palwhi
What are you talking about? There was house music in the top 40.
@LKeet6
@PalWhi i mean, he literally uses the word "underground" in his story, and i'd imagine what you're talking about is the rare crossover hit, that hit the charts in every country; he's saying he's grateful to have had a TWO HOUR show, exposing him to great house music every week. Not really the same as one or two hits at a time in the charts, is it...
