Speaking to DIY Magazine, Tucker said:
“"masturbation song" is where I was using masturbation as a way to show you how much I think about you and how much I love you, even when I’m touching myself. Using that to show how much you care about that person.”

More than I should be
I think of you
Is that a good thing?
I close my eyes
And I'm right above you
Face in your thighs
You said, "I love you"
Ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
I leave at ten
You hit the showers
Who's in your head
When you push your flower?
You close your eyes
And I'm right behind you
It's like I'm inside
When I'm not beside you
Ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh
Photos of you to keep me sane
You're in the nude, I'll do the same
I scratch my skin, I sin for you
Lights going dim, my limb is blue
(Ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh) photos of you to keep me sane
(Ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh) you're in the nude, I'll do the same
(Ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh) I scratch my skin, I sin for you
(Ooh, ooh, ooh-ooh, ooh-ooh) lights going dim, my limb is blue
The lyrics to Role Model's "Masturbation Song" delve into the intimate and vulnerable aspects of sexual desire and longing. It depicts a person's inner thoughts and fantasies while engaging in self-pleasure. The opening lines, "I touch myself more than I should be, I think of you, is that a good thing?" reveal the singer's preoccupation with their own actions and the object of their desires. They question whether their thoughts and actions are acceptable or if they have crossed a line.
The lyrics then describe a vivid image of the singer's imagination, as they close their eyes and envision themselves intimately connected with the subject of their desires. The line "Face in your thighs, you said, 'I love you'" suggests a deeply emotional connection, where the singer feels a sense of comfort and love in their fantasies. This juxtaposition of physical pleasure and emotional attachment highlights the complexity of human desire.
The second verse continues to explore this theme, as the singer leaves after a sexual encounter, and their thoughts linger on the person they desire. They wonder who is in the person's mind as they shower and close their own eyes, imagining being right behind them. This implies a longing for closeness and a desire to be mentally connected with the object of their affection, even when physically apart.
The final lines of the song take a darker turn, suggesting a reliance on photographs and the act of self-pleasure to maintain sanity. The lyrics portray a sense of desperation and obsession, as the singer scratches their skin and sins for the person they desire. The reference to the lights dimming and limbs turning blue paints a picture of a detached and lonely existence, where the only solace is found in this intimate act of self-gratification.
Overall, the lyrics to "Masturbation Song" provide a raw and introspective look into the complexities of human desire, touching on themes of longing, emotional connection, and the blurred boundaries between physical and emotional intimacy.

i think a lot of you are seriously missing what this song is about. When you live away from your lover you find yourself daydreaming about those intimate times with your partner, and naturally you... touch yourself to the memory of them? it’s definitely an adult topic but very realistic for a long distance/ “tour” couple. This song is actually my favorite because it captures that feeling of missing that pure love and passion<3
