Peno, who also performed as Ronnie Pop, fronted Died Pretty during 1984–2002 and was a member of early Sydney punk band The Hellcats (1977), and followed with The 31st (in Brisbane, 1979–1981) and The Screaming Tribesmen (Brisbane then Sydney, 1981–1983). After Died Pretty, Peno became involved with The Darling Downs (2004-2008) a collaboration with Kim Salmon. Also with Died Pretty guitarist/songwriter, Brett Myers' group Noises and Other Voices (2006) before forming Ron S. Peno and The Superstitions in 2010 and recording their debut album Future Universe in 2011.
Of The Superstitions, Cam Butler was guitar player with Silver Ray (2001-2007) then released his own solo albums. Mark Dawson played drums and percussion after many years involvement with Ed Kuepper, The Blackeyed Susans, The Jackson Code and lately Cam Butler. Andy Papadopoulos played bass guitar and Tim Deane played piano and organ.
