The performances were often improvised and are influenced primarily by hip-hop and jazz.
Aside from the music itself, Jenkees' videos are notable for his laid-back demeanor and always-friendly introduction, "Hello, YouTubes!" Jenkees typically explains the piece in the video either at the beginning or end of the video. He also provides motivational text and tips to others who make music.
Jenkees' popularity grew significiantly after he was Dugg by a Digg.com user on March 17th 2007. His fans grew in number again after he was mentioned in a column by ESPN.com Page 2 writer Bill Simmons. In June 2007, Jenkees was tapped to compose the theme to Simmons' podcast "The BS Report". The piece, titled "Derty", was later issued on his self-titled first album, which was made available for purchase on his website www.ronaldjenkees.com in July 2007. It was released on physical CD shortly thereafter and the album also became available on iTunes. In June 2009, Jenkees was featured on the STS9 album, "Peaceblaster: The New Orleans Make It Right Remixes," producing a remix of "Beyond Right Now".
Ronald Jenkees continues to post videos on YouTube and has released his second album, Disorganized Fun, as both download and physical CD on his website. Some of his songs are also featured in the game "Before the Echo" (formerly known as "Sequence"; available on Steam).

Good god. I have always loved music and discovering Ronald Jenkees was the best music experience I've ever had. Just incredible. This beautiful piece of art gave me the chills and touched me. It reminded me of everything that has made my happy. Thank you Ronald.

May be my favorite song of all time. Been listening since 2007 and still my go to for work or study
@phnseller
The run beginning at 1:43 gives me chills every time I hear it.....and again at 2:03! Yes, 1.25 is right in the pocket!
@Garshie99
How in the hell can there be 32 dislikes? This is the only Canon remix I heard that was good, and after it hit more than 4 seconds it became so amazing my ears didn't know if they should jizz or freak out.
@sevensandeights
1:50 to 2:15 gave me chills. Thank goodness real artists like RJ are receiving support. YouTube is an endless list of music I would otherwise never hear, and I would love to see others behaving themselves on comments that children can read.

If I have a winter wedding, THIS is getting played at some point.. and if my fiance disagrees, then THE WEDDING IS OFF!!!
