1. Ada Rook (fka rooksfeather), releasing music as rook, is an experimental pop/electronic producer and video game developer from Montreal, Canada. She is a member of the duo Black Dresses and the collaboration rook&nomie.

Great video! I found you through Taylor's Trick Taking Table. Love seeing the way people play Rook. I've played with my family since I was a kid. Our deck consists of 5-14, 1, and the Rook. 1's are 15 points and their power is that of an Ace so the ranking from top to bottom is 1 14 13...5 with the Rook being the highest and always considered as trump. We've never played that the Rook can be played at any point though. Funny enough I hadn't actually read the rules that come in a Rook deck until i was in my late 20's. I thought everyone played the same way we did!

I’m from southern Kentucky and we normally play with no rook. 100 points in the deck. We call the nest the “widow”. You cannot discard point cards back into the widow. There is only one round of bidding, and you have to call trumps before you pick up the widow! It’s tough. I’ve seen this game played many different ways. Great video man!!!!
