Lol at everyone complaining. This is a mock up, if you and your partner rented a room like this, with not much space to add storage aroubd the house, this is a pretty good solution. Plus, its only to give you ideas, if you'd prefer things differently, just do them differently.

Luna - That room looks cluttered and stressful and if i were to judge that room i’d say that only a couple of hoarders were gonna need that much storage. But it’s understandable, they had a lot of tips for storage and decided to put it in the same video which wasn’t a great idea but i forgive them lmao.

I love the idea of building a bed with kitchen cabinet. I’m looking to renovate my tiny bedroom and hoping to include more storage space beneath my bed and this should work pretty well for me! The only question is how the inner side of the bed was built? I think a single row of kitchen cabinet would not be big enough to accommodate 2 persons on it.

the concept is ulitarian. this is very useful for a couple or single person with a junior level jobs, renting a medium-master room, location nearby MRT/LRT, earn below 2,500 and are saving for a short-med term goal (married, home deposit).

some may argue that ikea thing is expensive for this income group but ikea have highly after sales value and long lifespan due to durable quality produce.

you can use for 2 years, and sell it as pre-used to get more value from the item. it also can give the items more lifespan before its final recycle.

I wouldn't say ikea products hold value. It's the opposite. They are budget furniture not made of real wood. Easy to scratch, and after a couple dismantling, it's not uncommon form them to be a bit squeaky or shaky. Obviously they have so much stuff that it depends on each item. The better option is to buy used ikea stuff instead, and you can get stuff from half to 75 percent off.

So they have a bed on a kitchen island (1.8 m x 0.8m x 2 m = 2.88 m3, but I don't think that the part that faces the movable rack or wall can be access so that leaves only 0.6x0.8x3.2 = 1.54 m3) a 2 movable racks (0.6 x 2 x 1.6 x 2 = ~4 m3), a area with a mirror and window of office space.
In general a extendable sofa would work wanders for a space this small (1.8 x 0.8x0.8) storage wall that has a hole for the sofa (3 x 0.6 x 2.2 - 1.8 x 1.2 x 0.6 = 2.7 m3) and on the opposite side another storage wall (2 x 0.6 x 2.2 = 2.64 m3) that they can recline 2 foldable offices and have 2 foldable chairs .
Now they have 1.6 m x 3 m = 4.8 m2 in the middle of the room and not two slivers of the same space besides a bed that they have to squeze to get one passed the other.

This is just me by I don't like clutter or the feeling of squezing in a room (just one passage of 1 meter or less), and that's why I don't like it.

I loved in a bedroom that was the size of a queen size bed and room for a PC tower as an end table but no real foot room. I mounted verticals bars on the wall, hooked some shelves on the bars and put my computer screen, keyboard, and beta fish on it. It was very tight but functional. I’d love to have dresser-like storage under my current bed. That would make it a world of difference. My dresser is in another room of the house right now.

Love IKEA, especially organizing products and ideas. Please IKEA, amaze me one more time! I'm struggling for the past four years in a tiny crew cabin, onboard a cruise ship. We are divided 2 in each cabin, having bunk beds, one desk, tight closet and metal walls (not allowed to destroy them with fixing the new furniture on) super small bathroom. Make a video on how to organize clothes, shoes, uniforms, suitcases, cosmetics and all the other stuff we use and need during six months contract.

Great video - but I am confused about using those kitchen cabinets to make a bed. Ok - the kitchen cabinets that were used in this video was: METOD (please correct me if I am wrong) ... did they have to put two cabinets together to make it a double bed? which kitchen cabinet from IKEA's portfolio was used for the other side of the bed that's against the wall? Also, is there a mattress recommendation for this type of a bed? Thanks!

I think I could’ve done this differently. All the clothes hanging on the walls and on racks would make it feel cluttered. Use the space under the bed for all the clothes. Idk why they needed a kitchen island when beds with drawers underneath already exist.

That unit behind the bed is a mistake. Makes it seem cluttered. Some floating shelves above it maybe , yes. And floor to ceiling slim wardrobes alway looks better than clothes on rails. They're cheap to make & customise to your own spec.

My room is rectangular and barely 8 square meters. I have managed to find space for a single bed, 8 shelves, a dresser, a desk, a laundry hamper a stereo and a flatscreen tv + DVD.
I hate the size of my room so much. It always looks messy. But I'd rather have my room than that one, even though mine is smaller.

Ikr. Here on our place even if i cleaned every single day, on my room where i cant even open windows because it's already old, its already filled with dust. This year i realized that i should just put things inside a box instead on being displayed so that i can clean it faster. Also minimizing what you needed for this year and remove what you dont will reduce dust. The video idea isnt really for people like us so u should improvise, however , layering of bed is good though

Unless you are only renting a room with no access to the rest of the apartment, you dont need all of that. I would focus on the bed,two small nightstand and maybe a television. Keep your closet in the hallway instead,
