Timeless
Rootwater Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Why do I do a lot of things for you ?
I can even make your life better.....

I need more strength ,
I need more respect
I'll never be ridiculous
And nothing for me
All for my friends
For my family
My intimates

Why did I do a lot of things for you ?
How do you think ,? is your life better ?

I need more strength ,
I need more respect
I'll never be ridiculous
And nothing for me
All for my friends
For my family
My intimates

You never know
You never know
You never know – where is the lie

(bha gha lha'vamow dha lha'vama mhedhe)

What kind of creature…?
What kind of tree …. ?

I can't remember where's the way
And I don't know what is the game
Who is a player , who's a pawn
What was the reason of this play

I need more strength ,
I need more respect
I'll never be ridiculous
And nothing for me
All for my friends
For my family
My intimates

You never know

You never know
You never know – where is the lie

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Rootwater's song "Timeless" explore the themes of strength, respect, and sacrifice for loved ones. The artist questions why they do so much for someone else, and wonders if their efforts have truly created a better life for that person. The repeated lines of "I need more strength, I need more respect" suggest that the artist is struggling with feeling undervalued or powerless. They proclaim that they would never be ridiculous, indicating a desire for dignity and self-respect. The final lines of the song suggest confusion and uncertainty about the world, as the artist asks "What kind of creature...? What kind of tree...?", expressing their inability to understand the game of life and the roles of its players.

Overall, the song seems to speak to the human desire for connection and meaning, and the many complexities and challenges that come with these relationships. The repeated phrase "nothing for me, all for my friends, for my family, my intimates" underscores the idea that love and selflessness are powerful motivators for many people, even in the face of uncertainty and confusion.

The light keeper

@reflektor9018

2020 aż do końca świata będzie grać ta muzyka ✌️😎

DEVILCAT

Matt Sorsson

@Xionc ma rację, w polskim przemyśle muzycznym poza skillem trzeba mieć plecy albo naprawdę mocno przygotowany biznessplan i naprawdę dobrą ekipe.

Olaf Czarnecki

Wchodzi w ucho 🙂

Bartłomiej Jakubiec
