The lyrics of "Saisons" by Rose tell the story of a woman who has been deeply hurt by a past relationship. The woman expresses her heartache and regret for the decisions she made due to her pain. The opening lines suggest that the woman has been waiting for her lover to return, leaving her window open in anticipation only for him to not show up. This experience has caused her to become jaded and destroyed her faith in love, as seen in her decision to "let the spring cry." She has given up on her search for Prince Charming or the hero who will come to rescue her, leading to her despair and emotions taking control of her life, leading to her "life being thrown into war."
The chorus repeats the line "Personne à l’horizon, personne sous mon balcon," meaning "No one on the horizon, no one under my balcony," expressing her hopelessness and loneliness in her search for love. The second verse highlights the lengths she goes to get her lover back, even to the point of begging and giving charity, but to no avail. She is left alone in her pain, with her desperation ultimately leading to her neglecting the passing of autumn.
Overall, "Saisons" is a powerful and emotional account of a woman's heartbreak that captures the pain of unrequited love.
