Beat me daddy, 8 to the bar! Love that boogie woogie!
I think boogie woogie was invented in the following way: somebody with a keen sense of rhythm couldn't help but notice the 8 to the bar rhythm he felt when his horse jogged, so he decided to compose music with that rhythm, so after riding, he went inside the house, sat at the piano, and started to compose music based on his horses jogging "rhythm" - BAM! Boogie woogie was born.
Well that's my speculation because when I ride a horse and it jogs, I feel boogie rhythm from it, and folk like Roscoe Gorden playing the piano come to mind.

Do you play this music at your rich people's parties to show how authentic you are? I bet it goes nicely with cappuccino and caviar.
