Duett
Rosenstolz Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
und wir gingen ins Nichts
fassten uns fest an den Händen
und wir sahen das Licht
zwischenzeitlich
übersinnlich
und doch ziemlich fern
widersprüchlich - und besinnlich
...den Stern der für uns scheint
animalisch - kannibalisch
ist mir heut zumut
und darum lass uns geh'n
Beute suchen - Zuckerkuchen
schmeckt mir heut so gut
gib mir noch mehr davon
Wir kamen aus der Sonne
um den Schatten zu sehen
rissen uns los von dem Trübsinn
um noch schneller zu gehen
unbegreiflich - unverständlich
und doch ziemlich fern
widerstandslos - doch respektvoll
suchen wir den Stern
Den Stern...
Zwischenzeitlich - übersinnlich
und doch ziemlich fern
widersprüchlich - und besinnlich
suchen wir den Stern
Den Stern...
The lyrics of Rosenstolz’s "Duett" depict a journey of two people who came from darkness and ventured into the abyss, holding hands and looking for a light. The imagery evokes a feeling of uncertainty, as they are searching for something that seems far away and elusive. The lyrics suggest that the journey is both spiritual and physical, as they are traveling through diverse landscapes, from the darkness to the light, from the sun to the shadows.
As the song progresses, there is a shift in mood as they confront the animalistic and cannibalistic aspects of their journey. The lyrics express a sense of indulgence and pleasure in the face of this, with the singer craving for more sweet things. The upbeat melody and playful lyrics convey a sense of mischievousness, as if they are relishing in their darker impulses.
Overall, "Duett" portrays the complexities and contradictions of human nature, as the two protagonists search for their shining star through the ups and downs of their journey.
